I toured a brewery one time that only canned or kegged their beer and someone on the tour asked why. It's because the cans are 100% sealed and block all light. It keeps the beer fresher longer. The can lining technology is so good that the beer is never actually touching aluminum so it doesn't get that aluminum flavor. I drink a lot of Sierra Nevada and some of their beers come in both bottles and cans. I always get the cans.

If you are going to buy bottles, buy ones with taller packaging and brown or darker bottles. Green bottles are more likely to skunk the beer. All bottles have the potential to leak air or co2 at the cap.

Plus I can take cans to the pool.

True to all of this. I actually work in the coatings industry and know a little about can linings.

I'll bet you were pissed when they stopped making Bud Light in those plastic bottles.

They had PLASTIC bottles? I missed that. Actually I seldom drink beer anymore. I went on a low carb diet almost a year ago. I may have had 3 beers in that time.

Yeah they were mostly to be served at sporting events and the like so people couldn't huck them at players on the field, use as a weapon, or any other mayhem glass bottles are good for. You could get them in stores too for a while.

They were strange because they didn't feel cold due to the plastic.

Wow, is this thread of the rails or what?

I read this, walked outside to adjust my mirror, 583EA398-DE34-4341-8E10-69C78D26F9B0.jpg and proceeded to crack my windshield. Hard to see in the picture. Be careful and don’t be an idiot like me

You must have had a small rock nick right up there that just took off. Don’t beat yourself up.
No way that moving the mirror would crack the windshield by itself.

Wondering if I should have insurance replace the windshield or take it to the dealership. I want it replaced the same as it is now (minus the crack)

How insurance companies handle glass claims seems to vary widely. Ask your insurance company. The last glass claim I had, I was told to take it wherever I wanted. We have a local glass company with a great reputation. Insurance covered it 100%.

Unless it’s been mentioned somewhere else...

I thought you could not lock the vehicle from the outside with the engine running but if you lock the doors inside before opening the driver door you can get out and lock the door with the key that’s inside the fob.

Works good when leaving my dog in the truck in the summer time.
