    thanks!!
I would say that if any one wants to go with 3" or more, should really consider a full suspension replacement!
there are several threads here where one can read and lear a lot from other people experience.

What size tire are you running? I’m wanting to do this lift as well. I have 275/70/17 but don’t know if they’d look funny with that amount of lift.

As others have said, blocks and spacers will void just as much of the warranty as replacing shocks... as for complications you'll have more from spacers than just doing it right, and you'll have a worse ride on and off road.

Personally for me. My 2/1 lift is perfect. No problem rides like stock. Went primarily for looks. I do light off-roading trails and some camping. Spent a lot on this truck. This dude isn’t planning on fucking it up any time soon. To each there own.

Just put the wheels and tires on last week. 265/70/17. Had a little rub on the driver side OEM mud flap but after the lift the rub is gone. I think I could have went a little taller and still been ok but I commute right around 100 miles a day to work/back/errands. I’d didnt go taller because I didn’t want to totally kill my mpgs.

if you're going to lift your truck at all then the dealer will probably say that it'll void the warranty. I've heard that there are Certain companies that make parts designed to work with the factory warranty but you're going to be paying more for those parts. I think that BDS is one of them but don't quote me on that. if you're going for any lift whatsoever, you should replace the shocks. you might be able to get by without it but you risk overextending the OE shocks if you go off road at all. if you replace the shocks (and springs depending on how much lift you want) you'll get a better ride and it'll just overall work better on and off road.

    Disclaimer:
i have a first gen so i'm not experienced with your specific generation of taco. i am just speaking generally

I had spacers on my 2nd gen, and an aal. I think it was about 2-2.5" upfront and about 1.5-2 out back. Ride was the same as stock, but my CV boots did tear after about 3 years, I did not do a diff drop though which I probably should have. Eventually got vibrations as well, which an ECGS bushing would have fixed I'm sure but though are issues you would get with any lift. I am probably going to go with 5100's and an AAL on my 3rd gen this time round though.

The agree about the LRO kit but the 3/1 for the 3rd gen will leave a little bro lean in it. Spoke to the guys at LRO and they helped me decide on which kit to go with since I wanted it completely level. I decided on the 3/2 for my gen 3. I’ve used the 3/1 on my old 04 Tacoma and 08 tundra, they make and put together a great set for my needs.
