Your making it sound like the dimmer for the dome light is on the ground. Thought they flipped that with the mid test refresh. For instance my dash circuit dimmer is on the ground side of the circuit instead of the typical power side.

So for your rock lights wound be need to be wired to power, and the switch wound be on the ground side. Flip it one way and the ground would go through the dome light ground. And the other direction wound be straight to ground

This has been going on for years. On the old metal tanks it was a large hammer and center punch. Watch out for the cat thieves also.

Where in Boulder are you working? I need to get these All-Pro axle relocation plates to @lambo and you could save me a trip down (and save me from spending money on IKEA candy)...

The 4runner is no different. Direct path through the holes in the splash shield. Cars are safer because of ground clearance, but not immune. The Tundra is the easiest target and sees the most repairs. Through the shop the Tundra and Sienna came in the most times followed by the 4runner then Tacoma. Addresses in Aurora were the most common, then tow ins from large office complexes were next.

The tool of choice seems to be a 1/2" drill bit, not a hole saw, on this side of the hills. My guess would be you could catch more of the product with a fuel can or a direct hose.

Does anyone here have any experience with any company in Denver that can do a complete inside frame flush cleaning and rustproofing of the inside and out side of our trucks frames. I’m starting to see a little surface rust probably from mag chloride.
Something like Eastwood internal frame spray

I just sprayed mine down at the car wash and used 3 cans of Fluid Film to coat the entire inside of the frame.
