3/8" or so. But different manufacturers make them differently. Mine are from Wheelers Offroad.

I went with a set of the Deaver 8 packs and longer AllPro shackles.

    Need pics?

If you ONLY change the 1" shackle and 1" block, no you will not really be okay. While I'm the first guy to shit talk block lifts, that's actually not (primarily) why you won't be fine in this case.

You'll also need longer shocks, an extended brake line, and to relocate your brake proportioning valve (a simple 1" flat bar with some holes drilled in it is usually all you need).

That said, there are 2" shackles out there and they will *probably* work. I would do a little research on the proper geometry of leave springs/shackles, there's an ideal angle the shackles should sit at for ride height (usually about 45 degrees), and going longer or shorter shackles will alter that angle. Is it enough to really matter? I'm not sure. Personally, I only felt comfortable with a 1" shackle. Any more than that and IMO you're getting into the new leaf/add-a-leaf territory.

When I had my rear Diamond built, I went with OEM specs and width. The combo of Deavers, shackles and 12" FOX's work extremely well and no shims required. I say this as I have a regular cab. Guys with extra cabs or 4 door may have issues but, this is where the lowering of the carrier bearing comes into play... along with the extended brake line and LSPV bracket.

Here is a pic of what I'm currently running:

I already have the bpv bracket and 1" shackle. I understand suspension and what I need to extend or relocate but wanted a take on real life experience on this exact setup as I cant find anyone that did it. But I've been trying to find a solution to get away from leaf pack springs. That's why only a 1" block and 1" shackle or 2". The lowest "doable" sizes for both types. Can be 2" shackle also.

Just dont want any driveline issues or suspension issues.

If this was a 3rd gen runner it is easy day with ome coils front and back.

Stay away from anything lift block. They contribute to axle wrap issues which contribute to u-joint issues in the long run.
Bottom line is, suspension lift is far better than blocks in the rear and spacers up front, if you’re still IFS that is.

    Good luck. I’m out.

Seems like shackles are accepted form of lift. Its popular if not the most accepted option in the tundra world.

They are accepted but only a ‘fix’ until one has a custom set of leafs built, or, goes with Chevy 63’s and relocates the front hanger.
Remember, there are many options/ purposes for lifting a truck.
You may want clearance/ articulation and run larger tires but, on the other hand, you may want a hunting truck that can haul in a large deer or whatever.

I suggest you stick to your type of use for the truck, build from there and enjoy the hell out of it.

Nothing wrong with using a shackle to gain a little lift. Key word being little. Most people use them to fine tune a rear lift to get it exactly where its wanted. Usually no more than an inch. I stick to my earlier statement that OP's desired block/shackle combo will serve him well. Although I wouldnt do any more than 1" on either.

    ^^ blocks suck, period.
Mall crawlers really like them though.

If you have the OEM leafs, go with an extended shackle. Cheap, easy all while retaining the OEM leaf capabilities.
For that amount of lift, that’s a no brainer.
In the past, I went with the Deaver AAL. It was weak at best which ended up in no lift at all. The leafs went flat.
Save the money and go with the shackles, that is if your leafs still have a positive arc.
