Absolutely ear plugs and pull the rainfly. I also ratchet strap the flipping side, to my slider so it won’t move.

Survived heavy winds in Mojave that way

A lot of the noise comes from the rain fly fabric flapping over the main tent body. If you get a few clips with weights on them you can attach them along the windward side of the fly. It helps a lot with the flapping noise. Use binder clips with washers or whatever over-the-top EAF solution you want. I have a couple locking channel grips that I clamp on. Also do what the other people have mentioned.

Nice ! Check out their skills park. It’s pretty sick and a change up from trails. Gf and I camped two nights there on a road trip to Ohio for a family lake vaca. Can’t say enough about how awesome the trails are. Liked it so much we camped an extra night in the way back. Have fun !0A4D3FFD-FB29-4FBB-B415-BDCAD1B96213.jpg 19B66563-CA58-487E-A14E-4DB6F034D000.jpg E01CC83E-6C2F-43FF-8DB5-FFEF6AEDE8E7.jpg BB9CA360-4BBB-4BE7-9050-B26DFDF422E2.jpg

I want to see how much narrower it is visually and length overall too. This is something I want to do.

I'll try to remember next time I open the tent. Width-wise there's not much of a gap. Length-wise there's a perfect gap for putting shoes or a backpack.

Thanks. Yea the trails are awesome. Been coming here since 2010. Think there was only one year since then that I didn’t ride here. Although now I’m a lot fatter and way more out of shape than I used to be.
Here’s a vid I put together the first year here

Well FML... trial run in the rain and my Tepui leaks like hell from a mild 45 minute thunderstorm. Water running along the seam and pooled along the edge of the tent.

Sad to hear. Mine held up phenomenal in a night of torrential downpours and wind. No leaks what so ever.

REI for the win on this one. Taking it back tomorrow and ordering a replacement. Was missing parts when i got this one so I’m guessing it just missed QC or something.
