What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Still waiting on spindles, UCAs showed up today. ECG bushing will be here Wednesday. Hopefully I can start soon. Got a couple of friends coming over to help me.

DIY solar road shower is 99% finished.









It was 80* and sunny here today. Measured the water temp in it, it was 107*.

 

Installed new auxbeam ditch lights with the side shooters, cant tell how bright they are as there are too many street lights around me, went up and explored some fire roads as well, pics later

 

Damn these clear lenses make me really want to clean mine up.... they look horrible Haha

 

Went down to HF to pick up a jack and a BFH so I could swap out my 139K mile tired suspension for some low mile TRD OR 3rd gen take offs along with a spacer to fix my taco lean. Also finally relocated my diff breather. My GF was nice enough to bring me the beer needed to finish the fronts after getting real frustrated with some rusty bolts.

 

Got turned around due to slushy snow, no recovery gear, lack of fuel, and the fact I was solo. Wish I could have kept going. It was a blast! Beckler River RD area in Washington.

 

Installed a softopper I got a really good deal on from a TW member.

 

New shoes and a shower.

 

Messed up with my addition skills and didn't order enough terminals from Toyota.
I forgot I'll need more for the spiral cable for wheel button illumination/ground and cruise (I already have the correct spiral cable).
I'm looking at my EWD's again to get the qty. correct.
I'll order them tomorrow.

The license plate lights were posted by someone else on this thread. I found the set on EBay. Hopefully this link works.

The lights are direct replacements. I did have to clip a tab off the back of the plastic housing. The bumper has one slot for alignment but the lamp has two tabs. Was a simple snip and fit just fine.

 

Did the same snip. Easy job. Housing comes with LEDs preinstalled. I got mine on Amazon with the additional three red LED “marker” lights. Very bright!

Just went outside to see how many wires I'm going to need. I now have the correct amount.
I'll order them tomorrow and hopefully make all the connections this week, weather permitting.

When does your clunk occur? Mine was when loading the steering then releasing (think backing into a parking spot) most of the time. Sometimes it would clunk over certain bumps, but not always

Ended up being over tightened lower control arm bolts. After fixing that and the double clip on the brake job I just did, almost all the noises are gone. Unless it’s a big hit, but that’s another story lol

Maybe it’ll go away after the strut replacement

What was the condition of the pilot bearing? That nub at the end of the input shaft is where the pilot bearing rides. If it's chewed up like that I'd guess that your pilot bearing is smoked. Did you replace it when you replaced your clutch?
