Don’t think you saw my post, but I forgot to bolt in the fuel line and as I went to remove the ECU harness to get to it I ripped the water temperature sensor straight off the engine block. Have to go bother my local Toyota parts department tomorrow.

The Hayward AutoNation is a sham. Bunch of greedy bastards. They tried overcharging me almost $20 for two window trims until I was about to hang up.

as long as its not corrosive sand im down. Heard about Sawmill Lake today while the ARB was going on... fishing, camp, trails... its going to be hammered with snow and water but when weather starts drying out its on the list to check out.

I still want to check out knoxville.

I didn't see the post - wasn't on the forum at all today really. Signal was crap and the bumper was going on. Sucks - hopefully you'll get it repaired quickly. Hayward totally blows - I'll never return to their parts department. FWIW, Piercey in Milpitas is pretty close to gunny's pricing - IF you order it on their website and checkout with willcall as your ship option.

If I’m physically going to a dealer then it’s because I’m in desperate need of parts, otherwise I always order online because no local dealer has come close to beating online pricing.

I’ll try Fremont Toyota, that’s where my truck was sold and where I bought the crush gaskets for the fuel rail banjo bolt a few days ago.

Worst comes to worst I’ll just go find a Camry at Pick-n-Pull and pull the connector from the block. They’re all the same.

you're the one who called up the tards at hayward... was just trying to point you to a fairly well stocked dealer with decent prices on parts.

fremont is another POS outfit, enjoy the wallet rape.

take the waders with you if you end up in the boneyard tomorrow. cheers.

I appreciate the suggestion, I just don't want to drive all the way to Milpitas.

Rain doesn't bother me, I'd rather be sloshing around in the mud and rain than a the beating sun during a 97 degree day.

If Hayward doesn't have it, I'll go to Fremont and then Milpitas and so on. I don't mine paying a few extra bucks to get the part I need.

ARB is classic, will always look good. Even 10 years from now when the other fads have passed, you'll still look good and current.

That connector I ripped off, and the impossible to attach fuel line are what made me call it a night. I have to go buy another $6 crush washer since I lost one in the engine bay.

Plus the probably $30 Toyota is going to charge me for that connector and terminals.

$6 crush washer - as in a copper washer in the fuel lines? - you can get a whole pack of brass washers at HF for less than $7 otd (20% digital coupon)
