Hmmmm, mine aren't mushy at all and are the same size. As a matter of fact, if they weren't wearing so nice I would go lower. Of course you might definitely take a hit on your MPGs.

Have them put the tire valve dot over the tire valve stem, had the Discount Tire guys do it, small amount of weights, no vibes at at, one of the reasons I like these tires so much, and they are really quiet on my giant truck when most others howl, quiet as the Michelins that where own their last.

This is exactly correct. Added YELLOW to you statement.

They should know what the colored dots are for on the sides of the tires o_O

Is anyone running the 285/70/17 in SL rating? How would these do for light off-road usage?

Thanks for the welcome! Waiting for Discount tire to ship my C rated tires( had to order from a different warehouse), on the fence if i should just shell out an extra $130 for E rated as I do spend 9 months of year hunting and fishing.... and they have them in stock and ready to ship, so no waiting....

Anyone who's been running the 265/75/16's in C load wanna chime in how their tires are wearing?

265/70/17C Only drove them home but night and day difference from my worn out/cupped ko2s in the same size. The ridge grapplers are even 10 pounds heavier. Super quiet, no shakes, my RPMs still looked to stay around the same as before. I don’t expect much of a mileage loss

All this info is flippin fantastic! Read through all 48 pages and found 2 members who went with the 285/70/17 in SL.
I would love to know they are holding up for you! Truly appreciate any info!
The SL is 8 pounds heavier than my current BUT the C is 15 pounds!

The Ridge Grapplers I have on the Tundra have less than 1/8 tread loss in 15000 miles.

Got my hands on some 285/75/16 Ridge Grapplers this weekend. Very beefy on 16 inch Method NV’s. Surprisingly, zero rubbing on my way home, but I’m not complaining.

Can anyone comment on mpg loss switching to the 265/75/16's from stock 265/70/16 as well as wear compared to the stock Goodyear Wranglers? I'm debating between these and the Hankook Dynapro AT-M. Will come down to mpg's, tread life, and total cost. I definitely prefer the tread pattern of the Nitto's but if mpg hit is much more than 0.5, I would have to seriously reconsider, especially since the Hankooks are like $50 cheaper per tire.
