Historically, when does Toyota release pricing information for the following year?

I know sometimes you just have to constantly check their web page but do any of your pros out here in Tacoma World know about when to start looking?

I know some of the new 2020 trucks should be hitting the lots in late August/September.

    Thanks.

Thanks. Just trying to get a handle on if there will be a huge jump in price with the refresh.

I am wondering this too, I am wanting a new truck and debating between 2019 and 2020. I built a tacoma and requested a quote. The dealer gave me a quote for the 2019 and claimed that the same truck would be 8k more as a 2020...I don't believe that.

But makes me interested to see pricing

No problem. I’m sure a little google searching for past years would be more helpful, I was just lazy. I’m sure to see a few $k in a jump, I would like to think it wouldn’t be too big. It’s just a refresh of the 3rd gen so not a ton of changes but some pretty needed upgrades , power seats, headlight and panoramic camera , apple / android car play. Some other upgrades but no game changers. I’ve only got 18 months before i pay off my 2016. I’ll hold out and see what the 4th gen has going on. Probably keep my 16 sport and add another taco to the fam when the time comes. I mean who doesn’t need two trucks, right?

$8K more is a load of crap.

I'm most interested in the TRD Off-Road/Sport/Pro lineup. With the refresh on the PRO I want to see if the MSRP get's pushed over $50K, which would be outrageous. They do sell every truck they build though.

I would guess $700-1500 price increase. When the 17 TRDs got the rear slider I want to say it was around a $700-800 price increase. I'm guessing with power seats, LEDs and the multi camera system it should be similar maybe a tad more.

The are actually pretty big upgrades, enough to distinguish one trim from another so a few grand is in the cards I think. Compared to say a 19/18 change.

It's going to be a new headlight option (which I think is only available on the Pro, I could be wrong) and power seats (again, I think as an option)

I'd hardly call it a refresh, and I expect the pricing to stay nearly the same because it is in fact, not a refresh in a meaningful way, making it hard to justify any cost increase.

Entune 3.0 has been in the parts box for a while, LEDs, powerseats and a multi angle camera are hardly BIG updates, plus Toyota isnt going to price themselves out of the segment, just adding those features to remain competative, the 17 addtion of the power slider was a pretty "big" update and it only resulted in a $700-800 price increase.

Parts wise small, right? But what does a "tech package" cost on a Tacoma? $500? Or more like $1500?

    My predictions:
    1. Modest increase across all trims levels to cover new grilles, led lights, etc. Probably around $800.
    2. $1000 increase on the premium package to cover the electric seat.
    3. $2000 increase on the Limited to cover new wheels and electric seat.
Dealers are only interested in selling you what they have in stock. So keep that in mind when you ask a futures question.

They had a tech package and I believe a tech package with JBL. At least that’s what they offered when I got mine. I think $1.5-2k sounds about right. Again, I haven’t really looked at pricing in 3 1/2 years since I got mine.

The only added tech is the multi angle camera, power seats are parts bin as well as LEDs and from a mass manufacturering standpoint shouldnt add too much to the overall cost point. Again a couple grand would definately push customers to other brands in the segment, I doubt its a huge jump.

According to this post, $735 increase from 18/19 with even fewer updates than that https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2019-vs-2018.584472/#post-19737522

Okay bud, I've had these trucks for over a decade, 8 of them, 5 of them bought new, I have never seen a couple grand increase except when the 3rd gens came out and thats a whole new truck and a whole lot of new features, guess we'll see.

I think the $2,000 that was being thrown around had to do with the guesstimated cost of the additional available features, like a power driver seat, CarPlay/Auto, 360 camera, LED headlights, etc. Ultimately it will depend which of those are standard and which are optional.

That would still be a significant price increase. Wouldn't bother me, make me love my 19 even more lol.

My guess would be the power seat and LED headlights will probably get added to the Premium Package, the 360 camera is reported to become a TRD-level feature. CarPlay and Auto will probably get added to the head unit with navigation. So prices overall are unlikely to go up $2,000 unless you opt for a TRD trim with Premium Package.

Of all of these, the one feature that really intrigues me is the power seat for the sole reason that I find the driver seat utterly uncomfortable.

All I'm saying is that if you were to package all that stuff together, what would Toyota charge you for it? Call it multimedia package and stick a $2k price on its and people will buy it because it's only $25 more a month. But really have no point internet arguing over it, just stating what I think.

    Exactly .
