Hello all, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here, but I just purchased an F-150 and am now selling my Tacoma. I’ve had this truck since practically new (58000 miles) and has been such a good truck!! If it was feasible for me to own two trucks I would not be selling my Tacoma, but with life changes and practicality it’s time to sell. I have all the maintenance records that I recorded for my memory (Oil & Filter Changes) and have all records, receipts from Toyota in two binders. It’s super clean for the year and has no body rust at all! Paint is in great condition besides the normal nicks and dings from everyday use. I have always done seasonal detailing (Fall/Spring) with clay bar and two coats of wax! Frame has been checked every inspection by Toyota and has passed with flying colors. Truck runs GREAT and STRONG and idles smooth. Has always started right up with no hesitation! It has ALWAYS had oil changes at 3000 miles. Since the day I bought it I’ve always ran Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic oil and Mobile 1 Oil filter. Does not burn any oil and I never have to top it off between oil changes. Absolutely no leaks anywhere! Engine, Transmission, transfer case and rear ends are tight! Everything goes with the truck including the tool box and Aux lighting! I also have a bunch of spare parts for it that I either took off or never got around to putting on such as Westin step rails, complete rear brake pad kit with new drums and hardware, the original leaf springs, extra set of Bilstien shocks for when I was customizing the rear suspension, spare tire, bottle of MT90 Transmission fluid, jug of Toyota Pink 100,000 mile coolant and a bunch of other goodies to go. Below are just a few of the major upgrades/maintenance items the truck has had since I’ve owned it.

Nitro master rebuild kit for front and rear differentials (5.29 ratio) professionally installed

Bud Built traction bar

Factory Toyota OEM cat back exhaust installed 2 years ago ($600.00) I installed

EBC slotted front rotors with green pads and Stainless steel brake lines front and rear

Old Man Emu leaf spring upgrade with poly bushings and greaseable shackles along with Bilstien Shocks in rear

Tool box with 800 WATT power inverter installed (on separate fuse panel)

Aux lighting (also on separate fuse panel)

Complete Valve Adjustment and Compression check, just done last year

Coolant drain/refill with Thermostat replacement (Toyota 100,000 mile pink and Toyota T-stat)

Oil catch can

Optima yellow top battery replaced about a year ago

Dakota digital speed odometer calibrator

SuperBrightLED bulb upgrade for rear tail lights (turn signal, back up, brake and top mount brake light)

Front and rear diff breather extensions

Glove box light upgrade

Pioneer Speakers and Head unit

Sound proofed all interior panels

New Lower control arms installed by Toyota, along with new strut mounts and bushings

New Front Struts replaced last summer (have actual mileage on file)



The only issues with the truck currently are the passenger side inner CV boot is torn and the front driver side marker has a little moister in it. Besides the normal wear and tear items the truck is in excellent condition.

Nice looking rig but I wouldn’t say no rust ha ha. Looks clean for sure! Also did you do the undercoating to the frame?? What was used??

 

Toyota did the initial coating. Then with winter months I would regularly power wash the underside and in the spring would do I final power wash and touch up any spots that rock chips may have caused to prevent corrosion. I used 3M under coating spray. Body has 0 rust. Undercarriage has MINOR spots of surface rust. It is a 14 year old truck after all

Not bad, wished it had the v6 but you cant always get it your way, also wished you lived closer to me its a 1k mile trip for me from FL. The last few I took a look at were frame and bed rust pits, and people were asking 10k, they did have just over 100k miles but rust is such a turn off. yours looks super clean! For a northern truck. I'm shopping for a manual preferably 4x4 and this one is definitely on my list. If I can't find one closer, which has been a challenge to find in good shape. I will definitely consider this one if you haven't sold it here in the next few weeks. Did you keep the suspension components to bring it back to stock by chance?

 

Thank you! I agree that finding a tacoma without too much of a rust problem is a change, but they are out there! Yup let me know what you want to do I'm open to offers! Also the only thing that I kept is the stock leaf springs... everything else was either scrapped or sold
