How to, mount kayaks to prinsu? 1-2, would mounting one just flat on the rack and strapping down be fine and if 2, use J bar racks ?

Hey guys, picked up a toprac off craigslist and looking to install sans directions. Before I mess things up, am I doing this right?
    1. Remove screw from track end
    2. Insert square nut
    3. Screw into lock washer into washer into prinsu mounting feet

    Thanks in advance!

Some wives send pictures of lingerie. Some wives send pictures of dinner on the table. My wife sends pictures of my rack delivery to me while I’m at work. I’m pretty much winning in all aspects of life right now.8BEFB5B0-1BBC-4F74-8963-601C61766F26.jpg

It's doing great actually, and it's pretty much been on the truck for 9 months at this point. I don't actually deploy it that often because I don't sit still in one camp too long, but it's come in handy during inclement weather.

Did you ever get anything figured out? Need to transport two kayaks and wanting to know if there are any J racks that will direct bolt/clamp to the bars on the Prinsu rack or any other way to transport two at a time on the Prinsu.

I've just looked around, haven't bought anything yet. I've just transport my kayak so far and just strapped that to the prinsu rack once and threw it in the bed once. From what I see tho, the J racks look like they should be able to bolt right around the Prinsu rack bars.

Right now I'm just curious if with my plano case up top, could I even fit two sets of j racks, I think I could, but if not I would hate to have to remove that everytime, plus I carry some tools and fishing gear in there that I would need anyways.

Got some ideas from this thread thought I'd share how I ultimately did my setup. It took way more time and money than it should have but I got it done and I'm happy with the results. My main goal was to mount my Maxtrax, 2 2.5 gal fuelpax tanks and a case (Apache 4800) to fit my recovery gear in Without obstructing the moonroof. I used some 1x1 and 2x2 aluminum angles. I cut the 2x2 and made them 1x2. Sanded and cleaned them using soap water and vinegar. Premiered them using some aluminum primer and painted them black. Then used all stainless steel hardware to secure them to the rack. I also found some little plates at the hardware store that worked perfect for my fluepax mounts. I then just used some simple master locks to lock them. Now for the pics, Sorry there's a lot

Yes you can. Are you getting the larger or smaller version? I went with the larger one. I used the 2 mounts it came with to mount it to the toprac. Let me find some pictures and I'll post them

Here are a few pictures of just the brackets on, I keep them on all the time and just remove the awning. I attached them to the first and last crossbar and used a thick Fender washer to help level out the bracket.

I just remembered I also had to drill both holes closer together on both mounts so that they would line up with the crossbars.

And that’s with all the hardware they provide or did you add the fender washers
