We talked about this off and on in the Tacoma's in Minnesota thread. I'm going to pencil in a meetup on May 25th unless there is another date in May that will work better for everyone. I'm thinking West Bush Lake park like last year unless we want to try something different.

Cole, I say we get together up north. Find a trail and get back in the woods. But meeting down here for the afternoon is doable too.

I'm all for it! I can start looking around when I have some free time from school. Any suggestions on where to start the search?

Gilbert takes no imagination and is also super easy but farther away. Nemadji state forest is also pretty thoughtless and closer, but even closer there’s a couple trails I’d like to try in St Croix state forest. In the forests we can camp anywhere we can find a big enough space to camp and hang out. But if there’s a few guys that haven’t been to Gilbert and want a group to go with this might be good. I have not been there with no snow for a couple years.

I wouldn't mind getting out to see some new places beyond Gilbert. The forests would also be less costly both in gas money and people won't have to buy a sticker if they don't have one already.

Looks like the Gandy Dancer Trail goes through Nemadji State Forest, do you have any experience with that one?

The Gandy is an old rail grade but basically a gravel road with a LOT of ATV traffic and dust. But there are many camping sites along the trail. Also we have to have a OHV sticker to go on any trails that aren’t forest roads. My DMV didn’t even know what I was asking for but they finally figured it out now they mail renewals. But there are also some good spots in the woods too. There are even some big spots that could accommodate larger groups.

CFAAA498-ABF3-4667-9035-916F41F8E5C5.jpg There’s a lot of off the trail logging landings and openings on the Big Tooth Ridge trail and the grouse /south extension trail.

My bad, I didn't know about the stickers being required there. My vote is going to have to go towards Nemadji. It sounds like it offers the biggest variety of options for how close it is. Would it be more preferable to meet in the cities and drive up as a group or meet closer to the forest? Looks like Nickerson is not too far away from the start of the forest roads.

Banning Junction gas station is at 23 east and 35. The banning state park sign/23 east Askov exit is the exit you take, that’s a good place to meet with lots of room. It’s hard to meet in the cities and harder to stay together. We We just need to get some more interest Cole. Whip up the crew!

    Im interested.

It would be cool to meet up with like minded people.

I spent 12 years running trails in Florida, now I’m back and would love to run the trails here.

Guys if there’s only 4-5 trucks depending on where people are coming from we could meet somewhere in the cities around noon on Saturday. Cole are you up north still or at home? Maybe you want to meet us in town?Does everyone have a baofeng uv5r? Amazon for 35$? Probably still get it in time. Or an FRS radio would work. We should still plan on stopping at Banning Junction around 2:30-3! I can’t frickin wait to get outside! Probably no damn mosquitos or ticks yet either.
