Just spotted @boogie3478 on Braddock

 

How long have you had it and are you happy with it?

 

I’ve had it for a little over a month. I like it a lot but it’s not perfect. My house is an AT&T dead spot so it can take awhile to get notifications from the camera. It is a high quality product though and the cell connection is a pretty sweet perk. When it works....I can log in and look at my truck whenever I want. This is especially nice if I drop it off at a shop for any service work.

 

I have a 2-channel Blackvue DR-750S in my WRX. I have a 1-ch version of the same camera for the truck that I haven't installed yet.

It's been pretty good so far. The video/audio quality seems good, but I haven't reviewed video in all lighting conditions. It has wifi, and you can connect to it with your phone when you're away from home. When you're at the house, you can set it to connect to your home wifi (or any open wifi) and connect to it with your phone through Blackvue's cloud. When the camera is connected to the cloud or directly to your phone via wifi, it will push notifications through the Blackvue app.

A few issues I've had are:
1) The original SD card took a dump after only 3-4 months, but I replaced it with one from Amazon with all the same specs for cheap. Blackvue wanted $150 for a new SD card, and the one I bought from Amazon was $30.
2) The rear camera doesn't like to work when it's at/below about 40 degrees. I'm not sure what is causing this and I'm outside the 1yr warranty. The only info in the website support about the rear camera not working isn't useful.

Where's the audio. We need to hear the horn blasting and swearing for realism.

I turned off the inside camera so that turns off the audio. Trust me ... there were horns and swearing.

 

I have been less than impressed with my Blackvue. Went through 3 under warranty within a few months. They got locked into a reboot cycle or something. Current one usually works but loses power sometimes. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it working.

 

The old goat napper cleans up alright...now if the other side wasn't destroyed....

 

I thought you were getting it fixed.

The driver looked like he was learning to drive. That's why I let it go so quickly.

 

Yeah, but still. Ive been "learning to drive" for almost 3 years now, I am almost 19, and never gotten in an accident (while my truck was on).

 

Its getting dropped off wednesday when the shops done with the caddy.
