I have VTX Rogues on our 4Runner after trying to get SCS but they sold out in minutes. Wasn’t waiting for the next batch. Ultimately been very happy with the VTX wheels after almost 10k. Would buy from them again.

I have only had them on for 2 weeks and I like them so far. Hopefully will get them out on the trail soon.
Came down to product availability for me.

Ok so I’m a tad interested in these VTX wheels. I’ve got a set of SCS Ray10’s. I think I prefer the look of the Ray10’s...but that’s just one mans opinion. That said the one gripe I have with Ray10’s is the way the faux bead lock is designed... it traps water, dirt etc. It’s not a big deal if you’re washing your truck, you just have to soak up the water before it drys and leaves hard water stains. But during the winter months I’m not going to carry a towel around to dry my wheels. It appears that the faux bead lock on the VTX is flush with the center portion of the wheel, a better design in my opinion as it does not trap water, dirt etc. That’s just my .02

The VTX do the same think, water gets trapped by the bead lock on the rim and drys leaving spots. Easily washed away on the the black rims but I don’t think it’s different in design than the SCS Ray10s lip.

Ah, that’s a bummer. Seems like a flawed design but maybe it can’t be helped.

I like the design a little better than the SCS. The VTX in the 17x8.5 weigh 26lbs, I’m in the market, but just looking at the moment.

I found this post because I want to get some vtx rouge wheels. I contacted Yota Mafia's website and they emailed me saying those wheels only weight 15 pounds in a 16 by 8 Which sounds crazy. Do you know if its true? Also I found you guys in Instagram. Great photos!

We had 17in VTX Rouge so not exactly what you are asking but based on their weight, don’t think there’s any way they are 15 lbs. The VTX Rouge was slightly heavier than the SCS Ray10 that we have now and SCS lists the 16in Ray10 at 22 lbs. If I remember right, the 17 in Rouge was around 25 lbs.
