Lucky! I've been debating on getting one off ksl to rebuild then sell. These bikes are easy to tinker with and its pretty fun.

got this thing for 600 and it ran. Albeit two years ago - its been sitting for a while. Just needs some TLC and carbs rejetted. Could probably turn a great profit on it though.

When I finally get some space again I’ll have to get a good enduro bike to add to the stable. Or a dirt bike.... I probably won’t be able to wait for more space on second thought.

You have great taste. I looked at that one for a while. I got mine a couple years before the new Indian FTR1200 Was announced. My wallet is grateful

Haha no, I worded that poorly. I’ve got a Yamaha XSR900 (the “mine” referenced) but I spent some time looking at the CB750

Hello everyone! New to the forum and just wanted to pop in. Picked up a ‘19 TRD OR recently and figured jumping on the forums was the next logical step. I’m located in SLC and curious about some good local areas to check out or some online sources for beta. Completely stock right now but itching to get out on the trail.

Anyone been up Farmington Canyon or Ward Canyon yet this year? Was thinking of making the loop and stopping at bountiful lake

Hey all, I’m visiting the Provo area with my wife and 5 y/o in a couple weeks to check out the area in consideration of hopefully ditching California. Where are some good dispersed camping locations in that area?

I've been up Farmington Canyon a few time last year as a stock truck. If you go past Francis radar station, you have to watch out for metal sh!t poking out the ground. I'd went as far as I could on stock tires and turned around. I did not not want to blow a tire on the side of a mountain and block the path.

That side won’t be open for a while, lots of snow still.

Unfortunately snow is keeping a lot of stuff closed but I can say that Hobble Creek Canyon Right Fork near Springville is open and they do have camping a ways in. Not the most scenic though.

There’s Squaw Peak Canyon Road that connects Provo Canyon and Hobble Creek Canyon Left Fork. It’s quite rough terrain, minimal camping, but extremely scenic. But probably closed.

Tomorrow I plan on going up into Midway to check out the trails up there again. Last week Snake Creek Canyon had its gate open but there was about a foot of snow. In the past there could be no snow at the gate but you could drive about 300 yards past the gate, round a corner, and run face first into 4 feet of snow. The other connecting end of that trail is Cascade Springs but I still need to see if that gate is open, it was closed 2 weeks ago. That whole area is very scenic with lots of open camping areas as well as a campsite. The Alpine Loop that connects these trails to Alpine/Highland is a very fun drive but currently also closed.

Also there’s Daniels shooting area trails out of the valley up there. Not much camping but some fun short trails and excellent outdoor shooting freedom. Gate should be open, I’m planning on checking it out.
There are also trails out east of Heber (next to Midway) that lead out to small mountain ponds and valleys.

If you are interested in sand there’s the Little Sahara Sand Dunes about an hour south and west with plenty of camping and lots of sand but the closest fuel is 35 mins away and $2 more expensive per gallon.

Unfortunately Provo is kinda boring when it comes to off-roading and camping but the good news is you can drive less than 45mins to find tons of places. My personal favorite places to explore are out of Heber Valley but I’m biased as I had lived there for 10 years.
