Hey guys, obviously I’m brand new here, so yeah, hello to you all!

    2005 Toyota Tacoma / v6 / 2.7 liter

I bought my 05 Tacoma a little over a year ago, and I’ve been wanting to add some minor upgrades that’ll help with performance. Especially when I’m going up hills. Preferably, I’d love to do what I can to allow me to not have to down shift into 4th and maintain a solid speed in 5th going up hills. The truck is pretty much stock, except for today, I just ordered a K & N air filter that’ll be in tomorrow. Aside from that, she’s pretty basic. So, I’m just wondering if y’all would have any other recommendations that I could do to the truck that’ll help with maintain speed, power, etc. anything like $200 and under, or if there’s a major upgrade that’s pricier that I can do in one trip to the shop, that’s work too. Thanks for the help guys. Please feel to give any feed back. It’d be much appreciated.

Gearing is probably your best bet for increasing pulling power

If you get higher gears, it'll help pulling. You'll lose some top speed, but pick up towing and acceleration
