Patients was the key for me to do this. Slightly pulling the wires through and clipping the boot up. A few minutes of trying but it worked and nothing crushed.

Wanted to show how I routed everything.

I like to follow factory harness routing for cleanliness. So in this picture I have a backed away shot of behind the climate control panel. The yellow mark is a factory harness that I followed, I secured the end of the stealth pro harness with a zip to the factory harness in yellow.

Here’s a closer look (disregard the av connections and the colored wires in front of the factory harness) that’s the beat sonic kit i put in at the same time and they are not zipped together

To make it easier use something to fish the path following that factory harness down- I used a single 18awg wire. This is the route I went, red is the stealth pro harness. I went under the metal support bracket and zipped it one more time shown in the yellow circle (there is a factory harness clip/mount that I zipped right next to).

Fish the white connectors up through the collar (I used the rear slot) as you put the center console back on. Then spin your knob on holding the boot/collar down with your other hand to prevent the connectors snagging as you tighten the knob. Then connect the connectors. I then used a small flat head to push excess wire down the slot but keep the connectors above the collar. I then carefully crammed the white connectors up into the knob in the void. Pulled the collar up to snap.

Edit: so I have tested shifting into all gears and so far it’s all good. So just as @20tacoma17 said he kept his 1 connector above the collar- 2 connectors can be crammed up into the actual shift knob in that void. I opted to not heat shrink since now there is no way of pulling out the connectors. I wonder/bet that’s exactly how @MESO intended the connectors to lay with the wires being short above the collar instead of pushing them below the collar. And maybe I missed it already mentioned…

This is a fun idea that I might have to take up. Pretty soon people are going to be checking to see if the meso sticker rather than the taco Easter egg.

I found the picture of the center console removed so I edited my previous post to swap out the pictures

This is by far my favorite "quality of life" mod so far. I didn't realize just how much I ignored using ECT because of not being 100% familiar with where the button was. Now I just need to move my garage door button mod over to the right button and I'll be set until puddle lights drop! :taco:

I'm sure you get it all the time, but I bet it's still nice to hear: Thank you, @MESO for all the badass mods you make and sell!

@MESO Is it possible to incorporate rear power window open/close into a stealth pro knob? I hate reaching for that button..

That would be a GAME CHANGER!

The only issue I think would be the open/close function of it.

Hah, that would suck if it only opened but could not be closed. Hell, would be cool to relocate maybe by power windows / mirrors on drivers side arm.

But a shift knob that turns on/off ECT and works with my rear power window.. mall crawlin' time x5!

Whoever said this took them a few minutes is nuts, took me a few hours.
I wish someone had a YouTube video of how to rip everything apart, I was sure I wouldn’t be able to put it back together but that went pretty quick.
