What’s the best way to get the rest out? Clean off the undercoat and hit it with penetrating oil then mash it with a mallet on the bolt side to break the rust bond? I have some undercoat remover still I believe that Toyota provided after the undercoating

Yeah it looks waxy, definitely not not asphalt.

But does harden up and not work as well after a few years. Lol not as bad as the rubberized stuff though.

Looks like it will be messy to work with.

Found these in my shed, the top set was my grandfathers. Do you think I could try and push it all the way through too

Hit it with penetrating oil, let it soak.

Hit it with a center punch from the broken side a couple times and soak it again.
Set vicegrips to the tightest they will go on the bolt and twist like you mean it.
Tap bolt with hammer lightly, soak with oil, twist like you really mean it, work it back and forth.
    Swear, Repeat above 3 steps.
    Takes patience and resolution.

Undercoating only becomes an issue if you are using a torch, accept the fact this will be messy and save yourself some time trying to clean it off. LOL

    If you have a torch,
keep a water spray bottle handy, heat the nut up cherry red and then you'll be able to easily twist the bolt out with vicegrips.
wait till it cools and clean up the burnt up paint, apply some Por 15/tremclad/frame paint.

Other method is drilling and tapping.

Top set is probably not metric so no use, unless you re-tapped and used an imperial bolt.

Bottom screw extractor set would only be good if it was a blind hole. You don't want to back that bolt out now as it's less work to take it out the other way, if you can.

Why are you messing with the hitch receiver anyway? I thought TRD Sport came with one from the factory, so let the mechanic deal with it during frame swap - there are probably 20 other bolts that need torching. That is assuming the frame doesn't come with a new one.

I just don't have that many acessories that I need one. I have 2 more blanks I can use up and keep the stock look for now. Thought the Princess Auto system was a cool alternative without running wires into the cab.

I wanted to take it off and wire wheel it since it isn’t covered in the frame warranty

Easy way out is to do it after the frame replacement, or arrange with the mechanic to leave it off. You'll have to drive it home with the bumper in the bed tho, since the receiver is also the bumper mount.
