I got my Taco for wood cutting and long term/reliable transportation. Only vehicle I have besides a dual sport mc, so I want to keep it nice. Retired, don't make the money you young bucks make to upgrade/fix your ride.

Door still opens fine and the window still rolls down. I have Stubbs HD-SKO sliders with a kickout. They made no difference here. The rock that caused that damage comes up at a 30 degree angle. The obstacle is actually called door dinger. lol

I've run a lot of hard trails and Isham is one of, if not the best, I've had the pleasure of doing. It's got obstacle after obstacle.

Congrats man. I've still got 20 years to go. lol

This is my wheeling rig. I picked it up 3 years ago stock for $3000. Since then it's gotten fully armored, F/R lockers, dual cases, RCV CV's, 5.29's and Kings. Every bit of the work done on it was done in my garage. You don't build something like that to cruise around on fire roads. Unless your doing it for the Gram. I don't and won't.

Yeah im definitely not there yet, and to be frank in not sure I'll ever be the with this truck. Ive put to much into it to treat it like that.

That being said I wish I still had a vehicle that I didn't care about because that looks like a fun trip.

There's nothing wrong with that. 99.5% of people won't do what I do with my rig and honestly they shouldn't. My rig was built to be beaten on. If this was my wife's 2009 4Runner there in no way in hell I would have even thought about doing this to it. lol

I've been really lucky to find a few like minded guys that wheel hard. We all have other daily drivers and our wheeling rigs are used to wheel. We break shit, we fix shit, we have epic recoveries, and we do it all with a smile and good laughs. I've got nothing but high praise for those guys. Without each other we wouldn't be doing a quarter of the stupid shit we do. lol

Yeah, I'd love to have a beater again. It's a lot more fun when you don't have to worry about trail damage.

Where I officially stand when it comes to trail damage on my current truck (subject to change):
I will take my truck to places that may result in damage, a little more on the fence about places that will cause damage. As long as you have a good chance of avoiding it by picking a good line or having a good spotter I'm down as long as there's a 50/50 chance of coming out unscathed. If the trail requires you to drive your truck on its side for a bit, not for me.

I do care more about mechanical damage than superficial damage.

But even then I've always been a sucker for double dares...

I saw this gem in a museum. Really would like to have it but they started watching me as soon as I told my wife to run to the pickup I'll be there shortly.

    Where is this?

    Looks fun!

My last rig I wheeled super hard and beat up pretty good. It was super fun at the time but i got to the point where I was trying to fix the dents so I just sold it.

Now I have a new one and once I get it running we’ll see how it goes.

We started seeing snow around 4k', and it was certainly still thick on the ground at 6k'.

That looks like a 417 I think. Early one. I have a few with those type burners, even Coleman's first three burner, a 418. Picked up a trailer stove/hot plate last week, a model 391 I believe, has burners similar. Got it running, but in a effort to get it all original and run as designed, messed up one part which I have ordered parts from Oldcolemanparts. Hoping they are correct. I also have a decent 391A.

I can't watch that. The squeak is to much. I have way more than double OCD when it comes to squeaks. Been known to be three hours late to work because I stopped on the highway to find a squeak.

That section was just below 6,000'

I know, I know... The hole through the firewall needs to be honed out a bit more. It's just the aluminum 3.5" intake tube rubbing against the Trail Toys trim I used to line the hole. I'll get around to it soon enough.
