Oh, actually they are braced; separate bracket that bolts between the wings and the mounting bolts. They were laying on the table, but mostly out of view.

And here is the finale, all bolted up and ready to be bumped. Just waiting on delivery of a folding license plate bracket that will allow access to the spare tire hoist. Damn, need to replace that band of tape that the flap of the window rides on. Looks bad there, but mostly hidden usually. Only been on there 14 years.

I thought it was too close a fit, so I cut that one. I actually have a piece of plastic pipe that aligns the handle to the hoist. (Don't ask why I needed that improvement, it involves the dark of night and a lot of cursing.)

Yeah, I’m curious how it compares to other noise dampening products.

Just look at the build thread
Just rebuilding the IFS. The truck sat beside my dad's shop for over three years. Going to go back to DD'ing it so trying to get it back into shape. Changed the timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires, and valve cover gaskets last month. This month is front end rebuild. All new bushings, ball joints, and hardware up front along with carrier bearing and u-joints. Next month is a little body work and getting the flares back on and a full detail. Then the mods will resume again!

Drove on a portion of the Baja 500 coarse n got to spent time at Mike's Sky Ranch today. That coarse is crazy. Was fun driving some of it with some good friends. 9FA376D8-7C71-45D2-BBA4-455DDA3CA623.jpg

    Before20190519_184227.jpg
After20190519_185136.jpg Now to fill the hole under the liner I'm thinking I'm going to just throw a large street sign over the hole and put some bracing under it

Just be sure to let a potential buyer know if you decide to sell it like you mentioned yesterday haha. That would be a crappy surprise lol.

Looks much cleaner now with the bed liner in there

I definitely would post that in my sale add I wouldnt be that dick. I brought it up to the old lady about selling it and she told me "fuck no your not" she wants it from me she has put more miles on it in 2 years then I have in 6.

Ya I agree it looks alot better with the bed liner I'm looking for a bed but cant see paying 400 since I need to cut it up for fiberglass because of my tundra axle

Edit: and the liner was only 40 bucks Toyota part20190519_184116.jpg

Didn't you do the butyl foil stuff too? That will kill any resonance style flex vibration noise and then this mass loaded backing on the carpet... Seriously I'll bet it's a noticeable difference. I've read the doors and back panel help to deaden as well. Didn't you do the back also?
