Ok ... I was a history major in college.

I’m interested in the development of myths & legends- from what we can know of their origins & how they develop over time (elements added & dropped) into the versions we know today.

I was told the high budget “Robin Hood” was a bad-historically movie, rather comtemporized.
Well, I bought it at Walmart, as I have a number of other film versions.

My family is also involved in movie & film production, with a brother & 2 first cousins going to film school & an uncle as an professional cinemaphotographer (film, TV movies, & TV series- with a number well known).
So, I “give” a LOT more in movies than most history folks.


7.5 minutes into Robin Hood (2018), I am roaring in laughter at the extent they have made a modern movie of Robin Hood, then tried to put a “medieval” veneer on it. The costumes are HILARIOUS! They are modern military style & colors, but in “medieval-ish” materials.
It’s like someone play acting desert combat, using only left over props from Braveheart.
A cross-bow gatling gun! hahahahaha

This is completely absurd. I can’t stop watching it.
It’s like Monty Python taking themselves seriously.

I’d take it more seriously of they just set it in modern times.

Edit: I’m waiting for a horse-cart Technical (the machine gunned Hilux trucks)!

Nexgt time you go exploring in that area I'd really like to go around the Chestnut Mtn rd aand gorges area more and see what all is out there. Same with that one place you pinned the GPS coordinates to.

Yeah that was nuts stupid mini fence post scared the shit out of me! Hell the tire made it home just fine too.

I would of just rode you up there then chased the other 2 down.

 

I think it will buff out okay, and the dent should pull out. If not, maybe I just say eff it and get this Bruce Banner looking thing.

 

Good deal on the tire holding! Hindsight! Next time I’ll just stay in it and take the bypasses! At least until the day it’s paid off/lose all my giv-a-fuks then I’ll follow!

Definitely man, I want to hit Carver Mill Rd. In Spartanburg soon too. I was down there a few months back but was still pimping bald street tires. Went a few years ago and had a blast in my stock truck. I want to travel up through the creek bed.

 

Also it was great seeing @PvilleJohn and @toysrgood again and meeting @The Schwartz

Yes sir! Wished ya'll could have stayed longer. We ended up hitting some fun trails.
