Have you ever spent time removing wax from plastic? Lol. Its a bitch. Pretty easy and fast to run some painter's tape and newspaper to cover it.

 

I agree. It takes a while to get it off...

I've spent hours reconditioning plastic that I got just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit of wax on.


Also, if I were you, I'd consider doing at least a 2 step detail including: clay bar, wax.

You should also head over to because not only do they run some pretty killer deals, but they have a forum for detailing and tips.

Learn how to do it the right (easier) way first, then you wont spend days of your life like me wasted on fixing my hasty mistakes.

Clay bar is an absolute game changer.


I also suggest if you live near a Blue Beacon truck wash that you have it washed there. The chemicals they use are very good. The soap (named 305) will strip any and all wax off the paint, leaving you a great clean surface to clay bar.

I usually use dish soap to remove wax. Really does the trick.
