I'm going to bring one of these fancy New England IPAs for you and pour a sip for you to try. I'd be surprised if you don't say "Man this tastes like orange juice ... and is 9.5%!!!!!".

Im open to try any beer. As long as you are open to me making bitter beer faces.

Contrary to popular TW belief, I do like other beers. I love a good stout, porter, amber, lager but I have NEVER enjoyed an IPA that I can recall.

I am certain I have a few hundred pictures of me that look exactly like that that you would not have had to photoshop.

Light or Lite beers I can't handle much. Water that identifies as beer is not my thing. I'm not an IPA lover but can handle 1 or 2. I stay away from most wheat beer, you know the glutens .

My "check liver" light illuminated a while ago so quantity is a bag thing. Tried the clear codes and tighten the gas cap method, didn't fix it. Just have to stick to a sixer. At least my pay to play has gone down.

I nominate that for the best post of the day, regardless of what may be posted later!

Next time I see you, a sixer of your beer of choice will be on me.

It may not be for all but next time you are on the Western Slope look for Dirty Hippie. Brewed and served at the Palisade Brewery. Goes great with BBQ and remember to get a slice of orange with it. And no they don't ship to the Front Range. :(

He is in Montrose - which is a short ride south of Grand Junction / Palisade. Montrose south is REAL NICE!

    It is.

Agreed. Fruity beers are not my thing. Although I do enjoy a Blue Moon with an orange slice. And the Leinenkrueigelmeisters Summer Shandy is freaking fantastic on a sunny afternoon at an outside bar!

I dabbled a little in homebrewing so I've experimented a bit with different bittering, flavoring, and aroma hops. Its amazing the flavors you can create with the right hops added at the right time. I honestly enjoy fruity/tart/sour beers as long as the flavor comes from the hops and not the because you actually added fruit to the beer. That's cheating. Just like adding chocolate or coffee beans to a coffee stout or chocolate porter is in my opinion cheating. That flavor should come primarily from your malts, no added flavors

Correct. The beer I speak of contains NO fruit and I will slap anyone that attempts to put a slice of any fruit into the beer. :smack:

That is a nice ride. Last summer I rode from Golden to Grand Junction - then Junction to Durango for Shark Week (Durango/Ouray/Telluride) for four days. Then Durango to Golden via Wolf Crk and up 285. Think I will make the same ride again this year mid August. Really nice way to see the country side, feel the air and smell nature (and a few animals that need not mentioned).
