You have very nice looking vehicles. And like I said, what you do works well for you. But until you use your process and replace jet seal with a ceramic coat and see how long it lasts and resists scratches then you never really know if it's better or not. You seem intelligent enough about maintaining the paint on your cars it would be foolish to pay someone 1k to install it when materials only cost less than 200 bucks and are easier to apply than any wax I've ever used. It's the paint correction that makes the vehicle look good. If it isnt done right the ceramic will just seal in a shitty job

I have seen it and friends whom have done it and had it done. Im familiar enough with it but not sold on it. I seriously doubt a liquid sealant is goin to resist some some serious scratches and then on the second hand strong detergents can remove the sealant.

Less maintenance, easier to to wash the vehicle, its less likely to get bug and water spots being that it is extremely hydrophobic. Also makes it less susceptible to minor scratching and swirling. You never have to wax it again, and If done on a fairly new vehicle it comes with a lifetime warranty as long as you own the vehicle. It also gives colors a deeper look as if it was freshly waxed. If i had a gray, silver, or white vehicle i probably wouldnt concern myself too much with getting it done, but being that my truck is black and id like to keep it much longer than previous trucks and keep it looking nicer longer i wanted to get it done.

I have seen it on black vehicles, yes it looks nice but never waxing it again, I doubt it. I have polished car that have been ceramic coated and the finish needed some polishing and help. I have seen bird droppings etch the coating and damage the finish of cermaic coated car finishes. You still have to stay on top of it. It also has a lot to do with how well you take care of the finish.

That from people that dont follow the warranty instructions. Its not do it and forget it. my warranty says i need to bring it back once a year to have it inspected and the coat polished if needed. It still requires some maintenance but its not as time consuming or as often as traditional waxes. If done correctly you arent supposed to have to worry about waxing it again.

Its just like anything else, you have shitty installers and good installers. The dealership is the last place i would have anything like this done. All they are gonna do is wash it and coat it. No buffing, polishing, or any attention to detail like someone who is putting their company name on it. The guy that did mine has also seen other ceramic jobs that were terrible, bug and water spots stuck under the coating that cant be removed without sanding it out and reapplying the coat. Its only as good as its installer.

Wash it with the wrong soap or a auto car wash and see how long it last. Not saying it's a bad product or material. I'm saying there are products that work just as well. Sorry but I'm not completely sold. But if people are happy then that's all that matters. My finish on my vehicles look awesome 10 to 20 years later. Some think my vehicles are repainted or left in a time capable. I just use good old school methods that are proven to work. I have shared pics of some if my cars, but my wife Lexus is probably the best of them all.

I cant form a long term opinion for it because I haven't had it long. But I also haven't found people have a lot bad to say about it when done correctly. And honestly you cant either unless you know for sure the ones you have seen were installed correctly. Let's end the ceramic coating talk, this was a post originally meant to point out the poor quality of the OEM paint, not debate coatings.

The stuff we used was yes. If installed on a new vehicle. Not all coatings do.

You opened the door by saying it has cermaic coating. There is no debate if it's a great product, but just saying there are other products that are equally as good. Good for you for getting your vehicle protected.

Can you reference the brand of the product you guys used? I can compare it to what they use here locally.

IT's not difficult to put ceramic coat on yourself. I went with carpro cquartz uk 3.0. It is easy to apply and I am thoroughly impressed with the results.

    That looks awesome !!!!

My 02 DC Pre Runner had a paint correction and Ceramic coating done over a year ago still has a very deep reflective shine

Not bad for 17 yr old OEM factory paint !!!!

My 99 4runner holds an amazing showroom shine, not a scratch anywhere or paint correction ever. Oh she stays outside and always gets a good old fashion coat of Simmonize wax, used in it since she was new.IMG_20190407_091807039_HDR.jpg
