I definitely would post that in my sale add I wouldnt be that dick. I brought it up to the old lady about selling it and she told me "fuck no your not" she wants it from me she has put more miles on it in 2 years then I have in 6.

Ya I agree it looks alot better with the bed liner I'm looking for a bed but cant see paying 400 since I need to cut it up for fiberglass because of my tundra axle

Edit: and the liner was only 40 bucks Toyota part20190519_184116.jpg

Didn't you do the butyl foil stuff too? That will kill any resonance style flex vibration noise and then this mass loaded backing on the carpet... Seriously I'll bet it's a noticeable difference. I've read the doors and back panel help to deaden as well. Didn't you do the back also?

I didn't measure bay temp before/after. I will with the Taco for sure-I'm confident it made a big difference, but I'm curious just how much. IAT wise too.

Driving around, parking then immediately popping the hood it was very obviously cooler after. The normal heat wave that wafts out when you pop a hot engine hood is gone. It actually felt close to when I've ran no hood on muscle cars and you walk up to the hot engine bay. Yea it's warmer there but not an underhood sauna going on.

I did actually do the yarn test to track done a roof rack whistle, and added some tufts around the hood+vents out of curiosity. We did a ton of that on the funny car bodies and lots of wind tunnel stuff so I couldn't help myself. They are definitely air outlets not inlets once you're moving or rev the engine (and fan) up a bit. The air exits up and rearward towards the windshield.
Idling at a stop, not enough flow to move the yarn tufts. But just moving my hand a foot or so above the hood, I can feel hot air rising above the vent areas.

i tried to start my truck this morn... just a click. it wont even try to turn over. i have been out of town for a week so its been a while since i drove it last. i drove though some high water 2 weeks ago on the way to pick up my son from school during the N.Houston floods. i drove the truck for the next 3 days before going out of town with no starting issues whatsoever. ive had the battery tested, it has a 90% charge and tested "good" at 2 different auto stores. any ideas on what to check next. thanks in advanced.

Have you checked the starter contacts? Pretty common with our trucks, especially if the starter was submerged.

You have to pull the starter, Inside is copper contacts. they go bad. I replaced mine last year for about $15.

Pull the starter out and clean it. Then throw it back in. Use a scouring pad to clean the brushes and commutator.

Likely the starter contacts as said. Parts kick from Toyota is cheap as said too.

Usually the voltage isn't high enough to push through at that point. So you're hearing the starter relay click but no start is firing because the contacts are dirty/shot so the voltage has to be high in order to get it to work.

This first, but def check the starter next after you have seen some water. I've needed to take mine out a few times now.

I cleaned the terminals and the battery posts but it still clicks. After trying to start it I could hear the starter still spinning. I disconnected the battery so the starter would stop. I'm going to start on removing the starter now. I'll head to the dealer tomorrow. Hopefully they will give me the right part numbers.

Got my add a leafs switched out. Damn thing still squeaks. Guess it wasnt just the old add a leaf making the noise. Its not as bad, and I dont get the poping sound that I did whenever I get in the cab or bed, so Ill consider it a win. And the new aals dropped me down to being within a half inch of the front, so thats a win there too. And I think it rides smoother too, but that could be me just telling myself that.
