The big silver donut in the picture is a spacer for the dif drop but the crusty is OEM .

 

Hard lines sound expensive. I wonder how much that will cost compared to buying a flare nut kit, and doing braided stainless or flexible metal yourself. There might be a hydraulic hose company near you that can fab up some lines too. But you will need to do the hard line ends yourself, with the flare nut kit.

 

The aftermarket Mobtown Offroad skids adds the structural support the cross braces originally provided.

 

This boy does very little mechanical stuff himself . I was going to try and tighten that flare nut above the hose clamp but was afraid of damaging the trans cooler itself . I just greased my driveshaft Think I will celebrate with a cocktail

 

Don’t forget my eyes are messed up so it’s even tougher now than it used to be .

Im trying to find out the name of those 2 crusty parts Can’t find them on line either .connected to the front diff and the cross member ? Going to grab another picture .

I wonder if it's called something like a cab mount support brace. That definitely looks different than what I took off. Mine were tube steel and not solid. That looks like cast steel.

Yea, Randy's figure has the part numbers, mine is just an example. Definitely not what I took off of my truck, that's for sure.

 

To me it looks like all you need to do is brace the differential with a jack and unbolt the old ones. I'm not saying it is a 5 minute job but it definitely looks like something you and a friend could pull off on your backs in the garage or driveway. Are you replacing the entire brace or just the spacers?

 

Well as my luck goes ....just drove 2 miles to get rid of my garbage got home tranny fluid everywhere. Tow truck on the way . I should have never touched it .
