Nah bro. They should be able to mount them just like any wheel that’s 9” wide. That place was wack.

At first they were like bring me a receipt I will replace it to,my repair guy will fix those knock off methods. Didn’t want to make a scene, I just took $40 that he would a paid a repair guy as I didn’t want them to handle the rims any more.

Dude America’s tire dinged up an old SCS wheel of mine with their impact. Gave me $120 credit towards my next tire set. Go back and get more monies.

Did you go to discount tire this time? What did you end up doing to the damaged wheel?

I will not be using them anymore. Went to save money on tires and came out with fucked up rims. Plus they told me they don’t know how to do custom wheels.

I still have the scratched rims as I just bought a 5th.

Looks sooo good. That brushed bronze is an amazing looking color. Love how it changes in the light.

Just curious which discount tire, since most sell custom wheels (just the crap ones but still) never had an issue at the ones I have been to but want to note to stay away from the one you went to.

I posted about this is the original ray 10 thread. This stuff (sem#39143)is available online or anywhere that sells automotive refinish supplies. The fake beadlock is wide enough to run fine line vinyl masking tape (3m#6405) on the inside perimeter and you can wedge playing cards between the tire bead and rim to keep overspray off of tire or mask it with strips of duct tape. Cut cardboard to fit into area over wheel face and bridge gap with regular inch and a half masking tape to the fine line. Remove the bolts, scuff entire beadlock area with a gray scotchbrite (3m part#37448), wipe it with alcohol and then spray it. If you wanted to spend an extra couple dollars you could get an Eastwood or spraymax 2k catalyzed aerosol trim black that uses a bladder system, and it would be more durable. Pic is of the sem trim black.
Personally next time I get tires I’d like to sand all that area to metal, polish it then clear coat it and swap to black bolts.

The more I research I'm getting more and more im getting scared about these wheels. I was just reading about how offsets wear out your wheel bearings and aggressive offsets wears them out even quicker. Those who have been running these wheels (-38mm offset) hows your wheel bearings holding up??
