AZ BS thread...

Thanks for the clerification chris. We went to goodyear and they over quoted A. On how much oil to really use for the diffs and tcase, which was almost 2x as much and B. They wanted to put gear oil in the tcase when the manual specifically states ATF 4 fluid. One more reason for people to do research before they pay for anything.

So I've been thinking of what else I'd like to do to my PreRunner in the near future. I don't want to go out and buy new wheels, I like my polished ProComp 1079s. I was thinking of blacking out my emblems. Adding color matched T-rex eyelids. Removing billet inserts and going with the Satoshi mod. Adding TRD skid plate (possibly line-x it). Adding sockmonkey's front valence black vinyl and adding the OEM roof rack.

I'm anxious for the wise feedback of the AZ council on this idea. Would those wheels standout to much with blacked out emblems or would it mesh well. What do you guys think?

 

Just debadge the truck. Save the money on the TRD and maybe get a budbuilt or something a little thicker and something that can take more damage, unless your looking for looks. sockmonkey decals make everything look better.

 

Arent the TRD skids like $100? And aren't the All Pro front skids like $300? Why blow $100, just save until you can pick up one of All Pro IFS or Bud Builts skid plates.

If you are going to add eye-brows.. check out AZ forum member Kris' (TRDguyKC) truck. He has the non-Trex ones, they look way better in my opinion as the line up with the actual front grill piece.

 

Thanks dude! i like them better as well. i cant stand that the "angry" ones dont sit flush with any part of the grille. just my personal opinion though

Yea, what everyone else says. Older cars like the 700r4 on my Z that has the speedo sensor on the back of the tranny you'd have to recal if you re-geared the transmission... rear gearing no. All depends on the setup.
