I was highly disappointed in this final season. All the wait, all the hype, and it was kinda MEH to me.

My buddy also finalized the best "ECT Always On" module and we got it installed. It's freakin' sweet. Better than anything else on the market.

 

Well, that didn't go the way I wanted. They refused the tsb, and basically said the squeaking is because I live on a dirt road. I call bs...

 

I live on dirt road, they did my tsb and it never squeaked again. Been close to a year now. I have an 18'

 

Yeah I knew it. BS. Screw them.

 

I'd try a different dealer. Also, they initially tried to tell me my truck wasn't on the list. I found the thread on this forum with the tsb numbers and information and asked to talk to the manager. If you live near a couple dealers I'd try another one and bring the information or even call before with it.

 

I friggin knew it. I'm calling corporate to get this figured out and taking them by surprise.

After doing the two lawns that I picked up, this weekend, I'm realizing how much my machine "sucks". Handles are super hard to squeeze, and really takes a toll on the palms.

So... Started looking for a "new" to me machine. Ideally I'd like the same thing that I was using when my buddy and I were cutting lawns on the weekend; an Exmark Turf Tracer X series. Been looking on Craigslist and Facebook market place... Nothing in decent shape close to me unfortunately. I did find one that looks kinda sweet, in Facebook marketplace, but it's all the fuck in NH, a little over 3 hours away.

 

Did you look in your buddies garage?

Nuno, finding a good used commercial mower in the spring will be quite the challenge. How wide of a cut are you looking for?

 

Don't really "need" it now... But definitely keeping an eye out just in case. Right now I have a 48", so I'd settle for the same, or a 52".

I found a couple decent ones, problem is that they are all far away. One is in NH, 3 hours from here.

 

52". That's a good sized deck. I have a mini commercial style Bradley Striker mower. 32" cut. Heavy thing and you have to be Hercules to squeeze the handles. Does a nice job though and fits in all sorts of tight spaces. Not exactly the machine for the 'back 40', but plenty for my 1/3 acre. I build a sulky - that was comical - lost control in a tight turn when the handle poked me in the belly...

 

LOL! I used a sulky when I was cutting with my friend, but only on long yards that weren't very bumpy or hilly. Those things are more of a pain in the ass to use if you need to make a lot of turns.

 

Can you get new or different handles?
Is there a mod? Check you tube?

 

Naw... can't swap them out unfortunately. I mean, I could, but it would be the same type of handle still. What I really like about the Exmark is that it has what they ECS, which is the handles are higher up and a lot easier/softer to use.
