Ugh. It’s so humid outside the sawdust from my work pieces is coming off as pulp...from kiln-dried wood.

I think it would be less humid if it was raining.

Beautiful ride down to F'burg for lunch this morning. The rain this year has resulted in wildflowers like I have never seen!

It was nice seeing everybody that made it to CnC. There was a person with the drone. Any chance we can get that video shared here. Would love to see it. There were lot of great looking rigs out there today :)

My friend Fred will be editing a video of footage he took. When we got back to his place in Spring, we looked over the footage, and came up with a basic game plan for the video...It will be forthcoming.

His brother Frank will have music and video featured on TLC some time next month. I can't say that his talent is anywhere near his brother's, but I expect he will give it his best.

We were the last to leave CnC. Couldn’t believe everyone dipped out so quick. 11:15 we watched the last vehicle leave.
It’s hard to get up early on the weekends, but it seems like if you don’t get there at 8 or 9, you miss all the fun.
You guys have fun at Bastrop? If we didn’t have house work to do we probably would have joined.

I was on my way home and saw the Bastrop group at Buckees. Someone was removing his steps. Didn't stick around to join. Got up at 5am to get to CnC at 8:30. and was headed home.

Anyone have a local used firearms dealer they like? I think i'm ready to get into my first AR. Don't need something hella accurate forever down range just something fun to shoot.

Also gotta get the pea shooter fixed still

a good place to start is GT distributors in Austin. Seem to be straight shooters and don't mind dealing with lots of questions from someone new to guns.

They do get some used AR's in but they may not have them all the times.

If you want to go to an over priced shop full of dick staff members head on out to McBrides. If you know guns know what you want and have researched price McBrides is not so bad. If your new I give you 9 out of 10 getting a unwilling to help dick of a salesman.

If you want to avoid used you can get a new Palmetto State Armory upper and lower for +- 400 bucks. And if you are new to AR's its going to be plenty good enough to decide if you like them. Sign up for there sales adds they have super deals all the time. And to put an upper and lower together its simply push 2 pins together. As long as the upper says it has a bolt carrier and charging handle. And make sure its a complete lower not a stripped lower :)

If you want used a good local TX board is texasguntalk.com they are bit crotchety but if you give as good as you take and take everything with a grain of salt its a good group of people :)

Thanks for the info. Checking Palmetto State Armory's website right now and looks badass. Would be awesome to put together my own AR 15 as well, just don't know if what i'm buying would go together. Plus, making sure all the parts I need are there. If you can't tell, i'm kinda new to firearms. Just got my first pistol less than a year ago
