    Evening Everyone !!!!! :hattip:

Can't believe Summer is a month away and there's fresh snow in the mountains nearby more snow expected by later this week

Also these last few weeks up here in the High Desert a strong cold wind has been blowing with gusts 50 plus mph

Good evening. Breezy today, stronger tomorrow afternoon/evening. Other than seeing that submerged vehicle, not much happened.

    Evening.
Alternator from last week reconditioned, painted and reassembled.
Elva fired up and checked ,,,,,,ok for him to go.

    Moron report.

When I tell someone they need brakes, they need brakes.
Told a woman in Jan she needed brakes. Nope.
Came in 15 days ago. Another tech told her she needs brakes. Nope
    Fast forward to today.
    Do brakes. Ok
Start up the car. All lights in dash on.
    Brakes go to floor.
    I know what happened..

    Here is a hint..
    4FFA7F69-2275-40A7-9FAE-9D22EA54D470.jpg

Dumb ass drove her vehicle metal to metal until it wore the pad and backing off. Ground Into the caliper and ground the caliper enough to pop the piston out of the caliper.
    Lost all brakes.

    Ok dumb ass..

I bet you would love the $350 dollar bill it would have been 15 days ago compared to the $1200 you paid us when you drove away today. On bald tires to boot.

For a while I thought the accumulator and pump was burned out as it made some bad noises for a while.
When you lose bk fluid the pump runs constantly trying to charge the system. Which results in a new hyd ass being needed. I don’t think she is out of the woods yet but she has good brakes now.
I don’t care anymore if people say no.
I’m not going to try to change their minds.
    I’ll see them again.
I just hope they aren’t in the same road as me..
I told the asm to tell her to start saving some money cause I’m coming after more of it at some point.
I know he didn’t but I’m just tired of it...
So thank you for my paycheck today...

    is that a Runner?
I took mine in at 120k to get the brakes done just because I figured they'd need to be replaced and the guy called me an hour later, said I could pick up my rig. I was a little shocked and asked if he was calling the right person, that I had just left my rig to get the brakes done. He said yes, he looked at the pads and figured I still had at least 50% left to go so he just put the wheels back on and bled the fluid. I was surprised to know that the pads were still good. And surprised that they didn't to the replacement just to charge me.

If they aren’t needed I don’t do them.
    Why are you suprised?

Never had brakes last past 100k and I bought Runner with 50k on him or who knows what the PO did to him. I drive pretty careful but with general wear and tear I just figured it was due. Plus the brakes squeal a lot so I thought it was the wear indicators making all the noise. I was just happy the guys were honest enough to let me know and didn't try to take advantage of me.

Morning all, a little cool last night, 37*. Had to bring plants in the garage, I think we will go from early spring, straight to summer. Big weekend coming up, I bet they ask me to work, we are behind schedule, as always. Enjoy the day.
