Just got my truck re-painted

i've driven much faster on that same road in my black truck in heavy traffic
it was the RED lol ... i am a statistic

 

My brother got lit up in the middle of Arizona when we were on a family road trip. Totally deserted section of the highway. We were all asleep, and he was doing 80+ in our dad's green 5 series.

Must'a been the color, lol

To be fair though, it easily could'a been the out of state plates, too... But I doubt that's the first thing the cop saw.

google search - Urban legend says that red is the color that gets pulled over more often, but redactually came in second place in this study. The top color is white, with gray and silver coming in third and fourth place, respectively. It seems like flashy-colored cars don't get pulled over as often as we think.

Red cars may not be pulled over as much as the urban legend says but I have heard that before. My brother bought a red mustang and that's what we all told him.

 

I got it re-sprayed the factory color which I believe is called Impulse Red? I could be mistaken but the paint code in the door jam suggests it is indeed Impulse Red.

Better watch out @GQ7227 has scientifically proven that you will be getting pulled over because of the color of your truck.

 

When there are lots of cars on the road, I've passed cops doing 75 in a 65 and they don't generally care (I have a red truck too) as long as you are going with the flow of traffic and not driving like a jackass (cutting people off or whatever).

When you're alone, you can't really hide in the masses and there's no excuse for going 10 over like there is for going with teh flow of traffic. You can actually get pulled over for going at/below the speed limit if you are impeding traffic.

My dad had a friend who had a Ferrari F40 (red of course, lol). He would always complain it was the color of his car that always got him pulled over. My dad was never sure if he was joking or not, because his tickets were usually for 100+mph, lol
