Here is the thread that I refer to for Hino 5th swap.
    https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/toy...earbox-r150-r151-r452-dyna-5th-gear-swap.html
In the R150F, this changes the effective 5th speed ratio from 0.838 to 0.695, on 37's you might not want to make that change tho, tire weight will limit acceleration dramatically at highway speeds...

Ok back to the drawing board.
This is the first time I’m seeing this. I’m going to do some reading to better understand this.

    This makes me ponder things...
Now on 4.88s and 33s myself. No 6 speed available for the 4 banger, so maybe a shorter 5th is needed, or 35s :ballchain::burnrubber::notsure:

    "taller" 5th...

I actually don't know if the R155F that you have can have the same mod done to it... you should totally find out tho!!

I'm doing Brakes and U joints on my truck right now. planning to open the R150F tomorrow.

For the Record, 14WA calipers and GX470 rotors work perfectly on a 1st gen.

I'm not sure either. Due to how the clutch replacement went, I'll likely wait to crack open the trans when the clutch needs done again.

My Parents visited KY this weekend, which meant I couldn't make the RRG meat :(
However my Mother "allowed" my Dad and I to wrench on the truck for a few hours each day between the brunching, beer-ing, bourbon-ing, and horse racing... we got the snorkel and winch installed!
I also modified the corner housings to take the 3 pin blinker bulb.
this also included adding the proper resistor for flasher speed, as well as a new 3 pin connector to replace the hack job that I'd had in there.

    20190415_174503.jpg

Next I need to wire in the new fuse box and start mounting all my lighting.
I also bought a tube bender... planning to remake the front light hoop to be ~3in taller, and match the 1st gen grill shape. and also make some bed bars as I ordered a RTT due to the 25% off sale CVT had this past weekend.

My budget for the truck has been annihilated this year :(

So I took some "progress" pics... I'm starting to get better at that?

Trying to use my engine hoist on the bender didn't work so great... it worked, but not well, and I definitely F'd $20 of tube on that try, out of plane bends and all that.
Gluing together the ram mount from SWAG Offroad, pretty handy little kit they've got.
    20190425_212350.jpg

I also received the CVT RTT on Wednesday, opened and inspected upon delivery.
I knew these things were cool, worth the hype and big $$$$? ...TBD
However, I'm stoked for scene points, pupper is hyped (default setting), GF is glad that we'll stop popping air mattresses:thumbsup:
So it should be good... definitely need to get the pupper used to the ladder if I manage to get it on the truck for a minute or 10 this weekend.
    20190424_111008.jpg

Hopefully another update to come this weekend!

First bend got me by surprise, it kinked at like 10 degrees... this little cylinder moves way faster than I was prepared for...
Sent it to 45 for fun.
    20190426_233601.jpg
Second bend I took my time with, almost got it, but still had two minor kinks, I'm pretty disappointed in myself...
I noticed the kinks before resetting the lever arm on the bender... so I don't think they are slide-back.
    20190426_233608.jpg
I'm pretty sure the kinks are from insufficient lubrication and too many deg/min on the bender for the wall/diameter tubing I'm trying to bend.
I'm gonna run to Home Desperate when it opens for a bag of sand.
Hopefully I can get the Tent bars built tomorrow.
The Light hoop tube is now the test tube, fortunately 1.75" x .065" DOM is only ~$4 a foot :/

The effort to bend 1.75"x.065" is sooo not worth the weight savings...
    pic of Sandrel FTW
Definitely gonna stick to .120" so I can bend a tube in 2 mins instead of 2 hours :frusty:

    bed bars made &welded
    gastank skid installed
sick ass fuse box made and installed
paranoid fab single switch holder installed
    Spotlights installed
fog lights installed (and tinted yellow)
Camry(?) power seats installed - the heating/cooling functions not currently working however :(

20190513_203459.jpg I was excited and had to drive around the backyard to try to get a feel for the new weight up high... totally didn't tho

Also had to open the tent on the truck for the first time! Our dog has almost figure out Up the ladder, but down looks like it won't be a thing for a while...

Well my first trip to Ouray/Moab area was aborted so early it could legally have happened in Alabama.

We stopped for dinner at a brewery Friday night in St. Louis with a view of the arch, and came back to this:

Someone pried the Latches up, failed at that, then broke the drivers front window.
-Stole both of our backpacks, mine including work PC, phone and ID.
-Stole her brand new DSLR camera & lenses.
    -Stole her fancy ass purse.
-Stole my surefire large frame flashlight.

All of this was on the floor in the back and was completely covered by the dog bed across the back seat...

From the bed of the truck they also managed to nab my spares/recovery tote including:
    -2x OEM LBJS (rh/lh)
    -1x OEM TRI
    -1x OEM Wheel bearing
    -1x 8' tree saver strap
    -1x 30' tow strap
    -4x 3/4" D rings
-my motherfucking winch remote & wires
    -other misc BS

So we filled out a police report etc, apparently we were the 14th pickup truck with out of state plates that they had been contacted about that evening. sure enough after a quick look around the parking lot we were in, a newer dodge 1500 and a mid 00's F250 were also hit. I guess pickups typically have much shoddier alarm systems, but have owners that are more likely to bring all sorts of shit with them, so they make ideal automotive burglary targets.
Anyhow, it was now nearing midnight, and only 1 of the doors on the truck would open, needing a new window, and no longer having some of our key recovery equipment and critical spare parts, we opted to head for home.

I'm fucking pissed. I've been building up to this trip for years.

I think I'll have to get both the front doors, and eventually a passenger side rear from the junkyards.

...and with how I have my insurance set up, the genius that I am, I've just pissed away 3k.

I HATE CROOKS. This is terrible I wish LE could get finger prints off these guys or some video of their getaway car. I hope you well for a speedy recovery. I have some an extra new strap and soft shackle I would love to donate to you for a speedier recovery.

The Police report process and following conversations didn't give me much hope... the do have a recording of people breaking into the Dodge in the lot I was in however, but not enough to ID an individual, and it was a shoddy IR night cam, so there is a very low chance they get a plate ## on the car.

    I'm not holding my breath.
Unfortunately, the way I, and probably most people have their insurance set up, Personal property theft is covered by homeowners ins, and the damage to the vehicle is covered by auto ins. My deductibles are #k and #k respectively, which almost exactly matches the $ of what was stolen and the $ of repair. Fortunately theres black PW/PL doors in southern Ohio that I'll try to pick up Wednesday.
The camera was her birthday gift this year, following growing the family by a doggo for valentines.018.jpg
Needless to say she was thrilled with both gifts.
Fortunately we are financially stable enough that this doesn't impact our mandatory expenses... but truck build is officially over for the year* after I fix the doors :(
I'll eventually be able to replace everything, winch remote first, then LBJ's and I'll be OK for local trips.
*unless I get A-arms or clutch parts donated to me!!:fingerscrossed:

Put 200 rounds thru my 92FS in an hour today, thats a record for me!.
Also no sheets that I'm ashamed of :quickdraw: so theres that.

Hey man. Truck looks great. You've inspired me to maybe get the same wheels (pretty cheap from tire rack). I'm trying to clear my UCAs with 285, so am hoping these have enough backspacing. They have two options at 17x8.5 - one with 1mm offset, and one with 12mm offset. Which did you go with? Which would be better at clearing the UCA? I'm thinking less offset is better, ie. 1mm.

Thanks man, they've held up pretty well too.

I ended up with the 1mm offset, which gets you ~4" backspacing on these wheels. After aligning for max caster, I had almost no rubbing issues with my 285s, but at full flex/lock, they do still rub a bit.

I run a 1.25" spacer now... mostly because my GF got them for me for Christmas, but IMO the truck does look better with ~1"+ poke vs flush.
