A little history. My truck was the truck that was in the post about TOTAL computer failure at 1000 miles, 6 days later and waiting to find a new computer ( $2000 ) I got it back. Now with 3300 miles my truck has a ghost in it. Driving along on I40 no cars in sight ,the BRAKE light shows up on the dash. It goes away but comes on really whenever it wants. The truck has always been spotless ,no chance of dirt on the sensor. NOW at 2 in the morning in a closed garage the horn toots a couple of times, it's done this twice at the very same time. I hope this ghost is friendly.

Obviously, you need to go to confession.

    All together, now...

The brake for no reason while driving is probably the sensor issue there is a recall about. The horn honk though, ghosts don't hurt people, they only scare them...

I think you’re aware of this already but just an advice. Hold off any mods you’re planning that involves anything electrical until the dealer has sorted this out. That’s their ticket way out . And btw have it documented. Take a video etc. it could be expensive and a big headache.

Maybe get a P38 “Gray Ghost” to compliment it! Not sure how that helps, but certainly won’t hurt.

Calm down, it is not a ghost but a Tacoma spirit. It is just trying to tell you that it longs for the off-road trail.
Take it out on a rough off-road trail and all will be good! Oh, make sure to wear a necklace of garlic.

I wouldn't dare go with mods. I've already been told by the service dept that ANY changes to the rims , spacers, tire sizes MIGHT make the 3 warning devices to malfunction. I ask if they could be recalibrated to the new sizes. The service manager said how many possible calibrations could Toyota have in stock? There could be hundreds of combinations to mods. Any lift kit would cause problems also. He said the 2019 is different that a 2018. No way I'm going with mods. I don't want the blame in case they can't get this truck right.

Sounds like the dealer provided workers not skilled in the tasks assigned to them...probably bent a pin on the harness plugging the new ECU back in.
