I had a gold pan RC10 back in the day that had all the hot upgrades. Novak T1, Andy's arms, stealth trans etc. I barely ran it and traded it off for a radio control plane which I promptly crashed right into the only tree for a 100 yards.

 

COOL my buddy had one of those he put a hot motor in it and ran it up the wall and over the wall and down the wall of the local track. Of course that was all back in the day when Gil Losi Ran Losi.

 

My cousin won the gas truck championship for socal I believe. He worked for a hobby shop building rc's for customers. We used to race the electric trucks together until he out grew them.

I had the same Truck with Ramblin Ron. Built it on Spring Break 1987.

 

Mine looked similar except different paint scheme

 

When I was 15 I made the best trade of my life for a JrX2 that was complete with the Race Case, Novak peak charger, Novak T4 and a Futaba magnum jr. A Pink Floyd Wall Album, $50 and a Jack Daniels flag.

 

I would like to think while the lil one is talking in his sleep, he’s either dreaming about the chick from heavy metal the movie , elvira or ..

 

Still have my original radio that I bought to drive the Blackfoot. A Bit dusty but I bet if I were to Put 8 double A's in it, it would still transmit. And I bet if you give me a day I can still find my RC10T in not so working order.

 

Did the R/C stuff spread through anyone else's neighborhood like wildfire in the early 90's. I remember at least 6-8 people all getting RC10's at the same time. Some of these people made huge jumps in car quality the kid next door went from a Cox Bandido.

 

Back when Associated Shocks were known as Cat's ass and where better than anything else in the industry.

 

I got mine in the late 80s and no one else had any or got 1. Eventually my dad got one as well.
