Afternoon folks! While I was getting in my truck yesterday, I happen to look forward of the door and noticed that the inner part of the front fender is not fully painted. I thought, that's strange, it also has the factory primer and the painted part may be 1/4in from the edge of the fender. I checked the passenger, same thing. I noticed that the bolts inside that area are painted and around the bolts are painted. My 2016 Quicksand was painted in the fender area.
I thought it was odd and maybe just a MGM thing, not sure. Anyone else notice this? I purchased the truck new with 10miles on it. I know the inner area wont be subject to the elements as much but damn. Can't paint a little more of the inside? Cost saving is real!! I know my truck is dirty! Forgive me!

It was probably painted on a Friday or a Monday.

That's just the way it all looks now in the automotive industry. Manufacturers cheap out on the highest degree possible all while making you pay a premier price for a non premier product.

By the way, don't sneeze on your truck or the paint will chip off.

This is me coming over from a Jeep Wrangler to a Toyota Tacoma.

The less I see and hear the better I feel.

I’d take it over the paint job on a 2nd Gen frame, any day, all day.

It's funny to see 2nd Gen owners throw dirt at 3rd Gens.

A 2nd Gen owner is just a 3rd Gen owner waiting to happen...

Both gens suck. I'm personally relatively happy with my 2nd gen because boost is life but it's time for me to be real here, my paint is just as garbage as any of the 3rd gen owners out there, and our frames are both equally as easily rustable as the others at any given point in time for any given reason.

    Fight me. :D

My 2018 in Silver Sky looks completely painted even where you can't see in the door jambs

Truth......it’s hard to keep the dream alive with just wheels, a body, a 4.slow, and no frame. At some point you gotta bend over for the 3G wiener whether you like it or not.

Didn’t need a truck I guess. Fair enough. They are good SUVs.

Ha! So true! I actually worked installing painting robots for Toyota at their wheel plant in Vancouver BC. They don’t seem to have weekend plans or come in hungover.
