    Luckily it was not a dark and stormy night. It was a car sick wife after a 4-5 hour drive pulling a 21 foot travel trailer.
    After much discussion and consideration, including test driving towing the trailer I have decided to trade my 2016 TRD Sport in for a 2019 Tundra Crewmax limited 4x4. You might not think it is sad but after looking at so many options it made my head spin I am losing quite a bit of stuff.

    Losing:
    Rear seat storage (under and behind)
    Wireless charging
    Clean full touchscreen head unit
    Bed storage bins
    A/C power outlet in the bed

    I think the coolest thing I'm gaining is that the whole rear window rolls down.

    But the best thing is that my wife will be able to ride with me while towing. I'm including a picture of the trailer along with the specs.

    Even with an antisway bar hitch it was "bouncy" enough to make her queasy. Granted we did pick a trailer on the higher end of the spectrum for the Tacoma and I thought it did great pulling here in the smokies but my wife just couldn't take the sickness and headache she got while we drove. I did try a couple of different settings on the hitch and it made it slightly better but she still wasn't enjoying herself much.

    So that's the story. I included all the specs on the trailer because I read through alot of this forum when we were looking for the trailer to see what other people were saying about towing with it.

    Anyway just wanted to say thanks for all the incredible information I "gleaned" from this forum and don't stop. I never posted too much but I read a ton!

    Really if I was to buy an AT it would be a Tundra.

    Sumosprings would have helped tremendously. I tow far less than your weight and even then it purposes pretty bad.

    But happy wife = happy life so congrats on the tundra. It's going to be a far superior tow rig anyways.

    Better shocks on the rear solve that problem. Stuck fox 2.0 on the rear of my truck and it totally changes the towing dynamic with this truck. No more bouncing when towing or hauling.

    I did the same a few months ago. These two trucks are quite a bit different and both have their good and bad points.
    My Tundra pulls 8K just fine. You know it's there but the 5.7 pulls and pulls and pulls. The Tundra is a nice truck. Have fun!

    I've had 3 Tundras with the 5.7. You will enjoy towing with the Tundra, but parking, not so much.

    Sorry to hear and congratulations. Ask the missus to drink a cup of this ginger tea. It is strong but will prob fix any queasiness or motion sickness. But it has to be this brand: Honsei Instant Honey Ginger Tea

    I did too. I miss the power of the tundra every day, but I do love the Tacoma. Two different trucks for sure, enjoy that 5.7, I know I did.

    I traded my wife in. Only took 5 years of my life to figure out I was not happy. Everyone needs a "Starter wife"......Just kiiiiiding. You will enjoy the Tundra! My buds got one and it is a beast!! May be outdated but once you push that pedal to the floor, the 5.7 will put a smile on your face.
