Actually, I came in just before you left to go watch your son. Name is Rob, I'll be 57 in July, short, fat, and not very muscular except for my jaws, married to the same saint of a woman for 32 years this Sept (been together for 36, she grew up with my cousin who is like a sister to me so I've known her since girls had cooties), no kids, no pets, live in the country, work 44 miles away in the city, commute together, work a block apart, barely have time for anything and have to force ourselves to take vacations when we can afford them. My Mom is in a nursing home so that occupies some of our time as well. Chores, mods, and hopefully soon, overnight wheeling trips will start to occupy some of my time. I've begun to amass camping gear. We'll see how that goes.

And here is a more accurate pic of me recently while I was prepping my skid plates.

    It's my serious pose. :D

I'm in the same boat as you. My wife is "sentimental" and doesn't like to get rid of hardly anything. At one point, our kitchen cabinets were covered/taped with school "projects" and artwork from our then 7 year old son. She went out of town one weekend and when she came back the cabinets were completely bare and free of the "artwork". The kitchen looked so much better. At first she was a bit miffed but finally agreed that it was much better without all the clutter.

I make trips to Goodwill at least once a month (usually more like twice a month) without letting my wife know. I'll go through the closets and drawers and sneak stuff (things that haven't been touched in at least two years) out to the garage without her noticing. So far, she hasn't missed anything that got her too pissed. I used to throw stuff in the trash can outside but then she would go to throw something out and see what I threw in there and bring it back in (no lie).

We still have a long way to go to be clutter-free but it's better than it was a few years ago. After thirty three years of being married to a "sentimental" woman, we still have a lot of shit that I would love to get rid of...

The pleasure is absolutely all mine Shauna!

The wife and I used to ride. Sold our last Harley, a Tri-Glide Ultra Tour Classic in 2016 after finally realizing we just weren't into the lifestyle any more (rode for 25 years prior, put 1,500 miles on the trike in 3 years), and trust me, that's the only time I've ever been serious, and even that's a joke. Between the paint fumes and 8% beers I was pounding something inside of me started to channel my inner Mr. Miagi! Wax on, wax off!

    Me normally......

I've been doing pretty good. We were not able to get to my buddie's claim due to snow and mud. So we reconfigured our plans and went looking for old coins. My buddy scored this little beauty! This find made it worth the trip! @JaCado
