I love that RTT. Didn't know they came in camo. Is the annex worth it? How much of a pain is it to set up. It looks like it just zips on. I don't camp that much, but want to get back into it. I have plans of an elk hunt next fall, and think this may be a nice option to have out there.

Thanks! I don't know if they make it anymore, but I love how burly all the material is. Honestly, the first couple times it was a pain to set up, but I have it down to fully setup in less than 20 min, and tore down with folding everything in under 30 minutes. Here's a link! CVT Camo Tent I would prefer a tan tent honestly, but I can't complain :)

Would a dual swingout have made a big enough difference? I want a swingout for the spare, but also have concerns about having to open it fully to put the tailgate down.

This is exactly why i won't rent my dads place out. I'm tired of paying utilities for nothing, but also don't want to deal with the dead beat drug addicted tenants that city has, or finding the needle in a haystack. Plus if a buyer comes along I don't want to be in a lease.

No, it wouldn't have made a difference. Can't load anything that requires you to travel with tailgate down. Anything you can't pick up and throw over the sides means you're opening the swingout to open the tailgate. Then there's the whole problem of opening the swingout in tight quarters.

I know you're planning on 35s at some point, but you can fit a 33 in the stock spare location.

Thanks for the link. I'm more window shopping at this point. need to finish armor first. I like that particular camo, but would never camp where I hunt, so a charcoal grey would be ideal for color for me. Something neutral that will go with anything.

It is more of I hate the stock location that necessity at this point. That is why I want to have these discussions now. It seems like I am going to have to order a rear bumper. They just aren't showing up anywhere. I would love to save the thousand bucks for adding a swing out, and put it toward re-gear for 35's. I have tossed around the idea of mounting it in the bed with a bracket in the bed rail. I think that is the most likely option at this point.

The table is a nice option, but it seems like the swing out is an option just to look cool. There doesn't seem to be a lot of people that ended up liking them after they get them. I liked the idea of a dual, but again it seems like a waste of money at this point. I think I would rather have a decent high clearance bumper, and figure the rest out as I work on the bed set-up. I haven't decided whether to make a rack/RTT set up and a cap/topper for hunting or just the cap/topper set up.

My plan at this point is probably going to be to mount one on the underside of my bed rack with a winch thingy. I think Stairgod just built a shelf in his bed rack to throw a tire into.

I have seen something similar where they take the winch from the spare and mount it to the rack. I don't have a rack, and honestly don't really want one. Who know though. I didn't think I wanted a lot of the things I am thinking about right now.

Rack is the best place to put a RTT if you want one of them.
