    Thanks! I may try that in the future. I know this printer uses proprietary filament. Unless i flash the board but may order some PETG for the future since that is on the list of compatible filaments.

    Thanks :) Yep i've been thinking that too but we shall see how it goes. My buddies have a Creality CR10S which would be another step up from what i have.

    You could also just use a service like Shapeways or Xometry, that is how I get mine done.

    It is pretty well hidden right now, but I will be making up a separate thread at some point.

    I also machine them, but moving away from the metals as there is too much wear potential for the plastic collar

    Wow really cool. Looks good! I thought about machining at my work too but was concerned about the wear as well. Glad to see someone else came up with the idea too. haha. I searched like crazy.

    @duckytw was the first to take it on I believe, but i don't think he ever had a chance to prove his designs out.
