I am a new Tacoma owner, and would like to inquire about the best ways to get a 3.5mm jack installed with my stock radio. I have the most base 2007 model, no JBL or aftermarket, but I really want to listen to MP3's. Some later model Tacomas came with additional positions to add more inputs on the lower dash trim. I can not find any of these trim options for sale. Any insight would be appreciated! Thank You!

I have a GTA car kit in mine, it's pretty sweet. Easy to install, adds bluetooth, a usb port for charging, and a 3.5mm jack. Easy to wire it to a jack that'll go in one of your switch blanks or just into a hole in the dash though. If you're trying to go cheaper/most labor intensive/more terrifying, there's a thread somewhere deep in TW that goes into soldering an aux input into the board of the radio with mixed success rates.

for my beater (2006 reg cab 5 lug base), I just bought one of those Bluetooth FM transmitters for $15 on Amazon. Works pretty damn good all things considered.

Assuming your head unit accommodates an aux connection, the process is not that hard. I did a tutorial a few years back if it helps: AUX JACK/USB INSTALLATION
