Tried looking to see what this “stutter” is all about. Anyone mind explaining what it is, not sure if I have the symptoms or not.

Did you look at page 1?

    Should I update to 1.05.1 ?

This update is only necessary if your truck experiencing characteristic "stumbling" or stuttering, "Bumpy road feeling" during low RPM (1200-2000 RPM) at low throttle and low to moderate speed (15mph - 50 mph)

I get much better gas mileage on 93 than I do on 87. I dont really notice any increased power tho

I keep mine below 70mph in the freeway, otherwise MPG goes way down where the trade-off isn't that good

You need to lock TC in order to induce the shudder.
Get the truck to 4,5 or 6 and keep the foot on the pedal and you need to let a pedal a tiny bit to get TC locked.start dropping rpms and speed. Once rpms below 1500 and speed around 50, start accelerating slowly (increase engine load without downshift). This where it starts to appear.
Gear, TC locked, RPMs and engine load are the parameters to look for.
You can get it even at low speed.
Running Obd2 apps helps to monitor and test it out

On 1.05.1 I’ve been running 93 base for about 400 miles and I’ve attempted to replicate the “shudder” some are experiencing but haven’t witness one occurrence of it. I don’t remember ever having it on 1.05 but I was only tuned for about 2 weeks before flashing 1.05.1. I just seem to have the steering wheel buzz during the situation where people get the “shudder” feel.

That buzz (especially on the top of the steering wheel) is the TC on and is normal

I figured that had something to do with it. At first I wasn’t sure if I was even engaging the TC. But I guess I was. Thanks for the reply!

I was having some weird, quick shifts which would result in the truck lugging where I could have to apply more throttle for it to downshift and accelerate quicker. I flashed 1.05.1 and haven’t experienced that since. I was also running 91 base with 1.05 and have only ran 93 performance and now 93 base with 1.05.1 and 93 base seems to run smoother than 91 base on 1.05. Not sure if it’s the result of being able to clear the AT and LV values. But 1.05.1 seems overall smoother. I also wanted to see how my truck would run on 1.05.1 and if it ran worse I would go back to 1.05. But so far so good!

Are there any negatives that could result from flashing 1.05.1 if you did not experience the shudder on 1.05?

I have/had that issue with 1.05 87P. The quick shift to 5/6 and lugging and or quick shift back to 4. I ended up going back to base tune for a weekend trip and I am actually digging base tune with ECT on.

Does anyone now if it’s normal that when I read it says wrong ECU? I’m guessing it is normal as I can still flash and reset LV and AT.

It seemed to be more noticeable on the Performance tunes. But I also noticed it on the base tunes. 93 on 1.05.1 I haven’t noticed it yet. I just filled up for my second tank with the new flash. I’ll update if it seems to show back up.

    Hi All,

I've put 91 Gearlock today for a week trial.
So far a lot better, the truck shift in 6th on most of my roads and will probably be better at mpg.

Which lead me to my real question:
What are you relying on for MPG calculation ?
There are several data in this truck whenever it's on the dash with Average / Fillup Average / Travel Average and on the media center App and i cannot seems to have a data which is the same everywhere.

On top of that i'm connecting my Bluetooth OBD2 dongle with an app inCarDoctor which give me a lot of values as well and they do not match the truck.

Yes, on my next pump trip i will be calculating my average the old way manually.

    All the best,

Not normal. You (based on '16) could be a O4B02, O4B03 or 04B04 if AT. ??? Identify the ECU and then determine which files to download based on ECU ID.

    Do you have 4.88’s installed?
