I would sand it and paint it black with high heat automotive paint. That's if you wouldn't mind it being black, obviously.

Oh yeah? I see. Thanks for the info.

I had been considering doing it the way @Sociopenguin had his set up. Chopped off after it jumps the rear axle, I believe?

    Thanks! I was hoping for a mandrel bend, but . . .

I like the slight, extra rumble. It killed my thoughts of a cat back.

Or you could just hit the tip with some heat resistant flat black paint.

It looks better than chrome imo

    Thanks!

Looking back, I'm still in on the dump, as long as I have the spare stocker in the crawlspace.

The alternative can be keeping the cut section and use a clamp on union and swap in a clamp on turn down tip. We cut up the original tail section trying to make an expanded tip. No go with the HF expander tool. The exhaust shop did have a laugh about it.

Motorcycle shops sell a paste chrome cleaner called Simichrome. I'd try that.

    https://www.amazon.com/Simichrome-3...chrome+polish&qid=1558472253&s=gateway&sr=8-3

If that doesn't work you may have to sand and paint it flat or glossy black.

Yep. I got tired of seeing mine either covered in grime in the winter or covered in grime from the trails. Now, it all in good balance out back, not good crush it, and it rumbles nicely.

I got tired of seeing it hang lower than an early bird special nutsack. Thing dropped like a foot.

It’s like- if you’re sad about ruining the finish on your chrome tip, TURN THAT FROWN UPSIDE DOWN and AMPUTATE.

I was admiring the thin bumper and high exhaust on a new Raptor raging by on the freeway. Nice clearence for a stock setup.

Spray/soak with oven cleaner and immediately wrap in tinfoil to hold oven cleaner to pipe. Let sit for 30 minutes. Remove foil and take fine brillo pad to it. It will clean right up. Did the same thing to chrome exhaust on Harley.
