Do you have a flat blade screwdriver? That seems to work well in Toyota's from what I've seen from thefts...

Got a check engine light on the drive home from work. Popped the scanner in and got this:

Pulled the alternator back to replace the brushes w/holder as 70,000-mile preventative maintenance. It's ready for the parts to arrive tomorrow.

Its not going to do much to limit the vibration revurb but it should insulate nicely. Before you reinstall it, why not put some squares of Dynamat on there (or the equivalent). A couple of those tiles would go a long way.

Steering seems comfortable enough and I’m not rubbing the pinch weld....I am rubbing the frame at full lock on each side (driver worse than passenger) but I believe that’s a backspacing issue so, correct me if I’m wrong, no adjustments to the alignment will correct that.

Could always put wheel spacers on, I rub the frame too at full lock but with 255s it's not bad enough to worry me too much. Just grazes it.

Got the sliders and cbi frame plates burned in today courtesy of the one man workshop @01Tac0ma

Couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Probably going to clear coat the frame plates and rattle can the sliders this weekend.

Just needs skids and the new 4x4 is trail ready!

New rotors and brake pads . It had new bearings put in recently so that’s another double double. Anyone now if the tundra brake upgrade works on a 97?15E08A26-6BDE-4FE0-86D6-680AF76EEE63.jpg

Alignment won't help that. I'm on 255s and 3.75 backspacing and don't rub the frame for whatever that's worth.

trust me, just paint them. I know its a cool thought to have them bare like that. But they will be dirty 95% of the time anyways and the clear coat won't last as well. Just paint it.

 yeah that was bad. I know Marc tried clear coating his Pelfrey built rear shock relocation kit deal too cause it looked cool. Lasted like a week.

Rubbing on the frame might be improved by alignment if your toe is way off, or especially if you're off a tooth on the input shaft and your tie rod adjustments are uneven.
