Yeah the roof moulding looks like it was torn off somehow, not sure what happened there.

I havent narrowed everything down completely, Ive only had the truck for maybe two weeks so unfortunately I haven't gotten much time to dive into what kind of shape all of the components are in. As far as a general idea: Id like to replace the spacers with a 2 or 3 inch lift, offset the wheels a little, and upgrade the intake to start. Im not looking to turn it into a crawler by any means but Im a big camper/backcountry guy and being in CO gives me plenty of fun terrain to play with. Suspension is my main focus but I want this truck to be as functional as possible. Tips and suggestions are more than welcome since im just getting started on this transformation!

Good game plan I’m very familiar with the terrain in CO my folks live in Montrose.
    Depends on your budget
Old man emu is a great setup, affordable, tuff, simple. Set it an forget it type.

Big name coilovers like king, icon, fox, and ads paying a lot more but last shocks you have to buy they are rebuildable, ride way better on washboard stuff, you can get remote resi to prevent shock fade for longer trips. But require some maintaining

Leafsprings a few out there dakars are popular but can get squeaky over time.
Icon rxt, Alcan or deaver make stuff also.
Also I believe they are called blackout springs are really beefy if your doing RTT an bedrack setup.

This is the confirmation that it is either a TRD sport or a TRD off road. If it was a TRD off road, there would be a switch beside this that says "RR DIFF LOCK". Judging from all the sport stuff this has, I'm sure it doesn't have the diff lock switch and is truely a TRD sport.

Montrose is beautiful! I am planning on doing the whole set up with a front and rear bumper (I've been looking at CBI but there are so many fab companies to choose from it's insane) along with a bed rack. Those blackout springs sound like its got high potential for me!

Based on the info i got off the VIN it came stock with the Auto LSD which also hinted to me that its a TRD sport. All of the pieces are coming together and I gotta say its thrilling finding out I have something different than what i thought i had lol

CO you say? I wouldn't bother with an upgraded intake. Do your basic maintenance and fluid flushes (especially that rear diff).

Those suspension components suck, look to get:
    - Rock sliders
    - Rear diff breather mod
    - Aftermarket Upper Contol Arms (suggest steer away from uniballs in CO)
    - Front coilovers
    - Rear shocks
    - New leaf pack (add-a-leaf on those stock leaf springs will still suck)

    See you on the trails!

Thank you, this is super helpful. It will be a slow upgrade process but I'm excited to be able to keep up with y'all on the trails!

    Nice cbi makes good stuff.
Ya I love it up there I’ve done black bear and emogene in my truck just fine had to pick my lines a little more carefully following my folks. They have a Heep that’s decked out nicely.
i believe the auto lsd is just electronic using the brakes to limit power to the spinning wheels. To see you if you have mechanical lsd the back of the rear end will have a sticker that says LSD on it.
You can add a locker to it if not kinda pricey.
I went with a mechanical lsd called a Detroit trutrac an I absolutely love it been one of the best additions to the truck and it’s way more affordable an compliments the stock electronic lsd well.

Ive heard about emogene, its on my to do list! Ill have to crawl under there tomorrow when its light out again, The locking diff was definitely an upgrade i was looking into as well but if the mechanical LSD is comparable for less money then ill have to do some research on that as well. Thank you!
