So true. Tech in a TJ? LMFAO. Good stuff. At least you have the subwoofer.

For sure. It’s a couple steps up from the second gen Tacoma. The inside just feels like higher quality, not sure if because made in Japan but that’s my theory and I’m sticking with it.

It’ll be interesting to see if they try to shove a 3.5 into the new sixth gen 4runner. Stay with a 4.0 if you can. The 4.0 can sometimes feel a little under powered when going up steep mountain sides and can’t tow anything worth a damn but it’s comfortable and reliable.

Been looking at 2016-2018. Drove a 2017 on Mother's Day. Rode great, but I thought it a bit less zippy than my Tacoma. Does weigh a bit more, but I thought the higher HP would be a bit more apparent than it was.

I had a 4cyl Tacoma. It was fine when I lived back east, got me up and down the hills near Asheville just fine. The drive from SC to AZ drove my other half nuts. He’s used to 410HP in his truck. My poor Tacoma didn’t stand a chance sticking around in our house.
