Its not old news if you've never seen it. I'd never seen it, so it was new news to me.
Hmmm now that I have seen it, I guess it is old news.

What I was thinking about as I was watching it was "Why isn't ANYONE helping the injured?"

I was thinking the same thing. Those dudes were so quick to want to get off that bus. I mean o was never in anything like that, and I realize there must be a ton of adrenaline pumping. However after the first 3 seconds when I realized I was unharmed I would of tried to help anyone who may have been pinned.

The second is clearly the old man that was driving, had plenty of time to brake. Didn’t even appear he tried to slow down. I know it said he “accidentally” hit the gas instead of the brake. I think it’s time, not only for his safety but for everyone else’s that he hangs the keys up for good.

For all those saying the ones in the back were cowards, it is different if you are in the situation.
The first instinct is to save yourself. You dont know if a fire will break out, or what will happen. If you are with a family member you will help your family, but strangers are not going to be your priority.
I was in Iraq when a car bomb exploded just outside our compound. Even with the strong brotherhood bond, the first order of business is to secure yourself and the area, then you begin a rescue/recovery mission. I mean, what good is it going to do had the guys tried to help and a fire started, or the roof of the bus caved in, now you are trapped along with the other person.
So, you run off the bus, when the dust settles and you can see the threat is over, you can get back on the bus and try to help while the medics are on their way.
It's easy to sit in your recliner and say, those dudes were cowards, but until you have experienced something like it first hand, you will never know.
Either way, this will eat at you for the rest of your life. You will always play back the what ifs. What if I stayed and helped get him out, it could have possibly saved his life. What if I could have pulled him out of the wreckage sooner, he may have been able to keep his leg. What if I did stay behind and that second blast would have got me too. Did I do the right thing? For who, me or my brothers?
Just something to think about throughout the day for you guys.

If a fire breaks out on the bus, you worry about that when it happens. Just like first responders would. And a bus roof isn’t just gonna all the sudden collapse. There is no fire and it’s not made of wood or concrete. Secondly, a car bombing in enemy territory is completely different than a car accident in your local hometown.

First responders are trained in these situations. The average person is not. All I'm saying is, the first instinct is to save yourself.

True, but like I said, after a few seconds of realizing you’re ok, I would of went to help other not scram at the driver to open the door. While not everyone has the same mindset or means to help, I’m surprised to see it was looking like every man for themselves.

Although I give the heavyset lady a lot of credit for seeing what was about to happen and shouting. She probably saved that mans life

It was. Because a 2018 would of had safety sense. It definitely didn’t “brake” it
