Couldn't agree with you more JB. It's definitely the way to run a dual battery setup. We spent some time with RedArc at Overland Expo West and we'll be offering them soon.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
This is awesome news. I was hoping you would land that account. You know I am down for a couple those bad boys.
I got so much wiring ahead of me, what fun! ;)
I also want one of those control units so I can stare at a bunch of numbers and feel like I have a better understanding as to what is happening over a long trip.
With my current setup, I am able to stay off grid indefinitely, with the amount of solar I have. However, the batteries are not being charged to 100%, meaning their overall life is shorten.

I've seen those, but I already have the isolator and all the fuses, etc. I just need the tray and another battery and I'm good to go!

That's a lot of weight up there in the front. If you tend to beat on your rig (i.e go fast off-road) it will probably end up destroying the core support over time. Is there any reason you can't throw the other battery on the passenger side?

Go Lithium or Go Home! Or go AGM because that’s affordable lol. A friend just put a Battle Born? Dual setup in his FJ80. I think a couple cheeseburger combos with a shake weighs more than those batteries.

Yeah man. Erick and I are both excited to be bringing them on. The great thing about the RedArc chargers, it will let you get up to 100% and you're not limited by your alternator or having to have matching batteries. Take a look at the BMS 30 it's the setup I plan on going with.

Hmm...I hadn't thought about that. I'll check on that side to see if I can figure something out because you're right. That is a lot of weight.

How's this different than the D250SA? I've been looking at getting one for a while, just haven't pulled the trigger because I haven't killed my single battery yet.

    D250SA...

Dave, we actually offer CTEK as well. But they do have a few differences. The CTEK charges at 20A, where the RedArc charges at 25A. So the RedArc will be a little faster. Unless of course the CTEK is paired with the SmartPass, which drives the price up considerably. RedArc also offers priority to solar charging, even while on the move. Once expended, it will then turn back to DC vehicle power. Placing less load on the vehicle's alternator. It's very possible that the CTEK offers this as well, but with the limited documentation that we have been provided I have not seen it mentioned. The other main difference, which could be huge for some, is that the CTEK does not support Lithium batteries, the RedArc does.
