Steady state cardio really isn’t the best for burning fat. HIIT will burn calories much, much faster.

A scale is not a good basis for weight loss either. Like BamaTaco said, if you're losing fat and gaining muscle, you may even stay the same weight, but look totally different. The best judgement is how your clothes fit. My pants are starting to get loose and my shirts are starting to get tight! My BB guns are starting to look more like real guns again! lol

Burning fat and burning calories are two very different things. If you want to burn fat and muscle at the same time, high intensity would be good.

If you want to burn fat and not muscle, low intensity steady state is a better option. It may take longer, but it’s more effective.

I gotcha! This one was all about bow hunting in BC. Jon Dudley was the main guest, but they also had a novice and and a brand new beginner on there as well as a guide. I’m not even into archery and it was really cool. The host is the former commander of Seal Team 6, so he gets some really cool guests. And has some WILD stories lol

I'm trying to gain muscle while losing fat. Since I've been in the gym, I've lost about 10 lbs, but it seems like I'm gaining back a pound each week, due to muscle growth.

I'm a hunter at heart and there's nothing I'd rather be doing during hunting season. Except maybe backpacking through a National Forest somewhere with my wife, or taking my kids truck camping.

Ive had the complete opposite results. I did high intensity while fasted and dropped purly fat. I got a DEXA body scan done. Supposedly the most accurate way in the world to measure body comp. Im/was kinda fitness nerd haha. I actually gained muscle while doing this. Went from benching 285 to 300lb while losing 18lb of fat.

I've started using the stair climber machine (stationary escalator lol) for 10 minutes before my weight lifting. That thing is no joke. My legs are on fire at the end of 10 minutes. 650 stairs roughly by the end of 10 minutes + cooldown.

I didnt i paid for it out of pocket at my school was Samford. They have a machine in their exercise department. I got the student discount and it was like $75 bucks each time. I think its like $150. Even though im not a student anymore i still go back year after year and get the scans for the student discount lol

Everyone is different I guess. Myself and the majority of the people I have worked out with over the years (a Mr. Alabama Masters winner, a 2x Mr. Arkansas winner and a Mr. Alabama runner up) have all seen the best results through LISS for fat loss while maintaining size.

IDK where you are located but you can get them done at Samford for cheaper than $600. I think its like $150-$200. Its open to the public.

Jeannie and I are going rafting down Terrapin this weekend if anyone wants to join us. If you never rafted here before, it's a slow and leisurely raft! We got our pool open too and the firepit cleaned out back. I may invite a few folks down for some steaks and beer one weekend!
