My 1/2" deep well impact socket reaches, but you will most likely need an extinction.

Looks good! You may find you want some cam bolt protection though. Mine are protected and I've still bashed in my lca mounts.

Starting work on the rear skid. Decided to minimize the number of bends and go with one skid from the back of the front skid to behind the transfer case. It will be heavy but not as heavy as the front skid. By doing this I am losing 10.5 lbs. of steel as well.
    IMG_20190504_110814.jpg

I am going to have to reroute my exhaust and that should happen this week.
Had it quoted and is only going to run about $40.
First picture is of my truck and last two is what I am planning on doing.

oh man, you have to reroute the exhaust for a rear-skid on 2nd gens?

What are your plans for a new crossmember?

There are other ways to make skids where you don't have to reroute exhaust. The design I came up with just minimums the number of bends I will have to make and reduces the overall weight, a double win for me.

    Making the rear cross member out of 3” x 1.5" - 3/16" C-channel I found at the scrap yard and some 3" x 3" - 3/16" angle I had laying around.
Cross member will be very similar to bottom two pictures and will use existing holes in the frame, no drilling. I think these pics are from MOB Town Offroad.

Had exhaust rerouted this week. Worked on rear skid today. Hopefully finish up tomorrow.

Skids are fully installed. Here are the pictures I have ran out of day light tonight to take any good pictures. Also here is the finalized cross member for behind the t-case.

It doesn't look like you did any reinforcement ribs. Might want to think about adding a couple like post 185 in this thread...

Doesn't add hardly any weight (relatively) and adds a ton of strength.

    That's my plan, anyway.

I thought about it. I got to looking and most main stream skid manufacturers don't have them on 3/16" thick skids and only a few offer it as an option. I don't do any rock crawling, so I hope I don't ever need ribs.

True, adding ribs does entail quite a bit more welding.
